    What the gurus are saying

This toner stands out for fading hyperpigmentation and dark spots faster than comparable products, with mandelic acid, lactic acid, and licorice root working together to brighten while avoiding the drying effect some chemical exfoliants cause. The 5% niacinamide concentration lets people use it twice weekly without irritation or overdoing the ingredient, a balance that appeals to those seeking effective exfoliation and brightening.

"One of my personal favorites is this. This is the PSA Skin Heroine Toner 5% Niacinamide. Now, this contains lactic acid and mandelic acid together. Both humectants, both hydrating, both really gentle and perfect to use alongside your retinoid. But instead of having to choose, do I want mandelic acid? Do I want lactic acid? Get them both together in one product. I absolutely love this and I've been raving about this product for years here on the channel. Unfortunately, this is actually sold out at the moment at the time of filming, but keep your eye out for it because when it comes back in stock, it sells out like that. It's worth getting your hands on if you can because this is a great example of fusion exfoliants using and harnessing the multiple benefits of different exfoliating acids."

"The PSA Skin Heroine Toner is one of my personal favorites, packed full of really gentle exfoliating acids but also a dose of licorice root extract too, so this gets to grip with fading your hyperpigmentation. It smooths out the skin, it acts as like a pigment correcting serum and an exfoliator all in one, which is why I think it's just such a phenomenal product. I love the coloration, that coral. When I see it on the value channel it's always the product that I'm really excited to open and use, and I think it's got that visual appeal to it that sometimes a lot of other well formulated products just lack. This has it all: the look, the formulation, great price point. It's definitely a deserved winner and a definite favorite toner."

My MOST REPURCHASED SKINCARE 2024 - Ultimate Skincare Favourites
"The PSA Skin Heroine Toner, the best hyperpigmentation toner you're going to find. Beautiful blend of exfoliating acids alongside some licorice, it's got a lot going on. I use this a couple of times a week as like my exfoliator. Mandelic acid seems to be like what just works the best for me in terms of my chosen chemical exfoliator and this has it in. You got mandelic acid, licorice and lots of other brightening ingredients. This is a great mandelic acid option. It's been in my routine for 2 years. If a product just works it works and this is the case for this one for me."

"This has so many great skin brightening and hyperpigmentation fighting ingredients. If you're a person that likes an exfoliant a couple of times a week this is amazing. If you're using something like The Ordinary glycolic acid on the face, switch to this. Your skin will love it, your hyperpigmentation will fade far quicker. It's just a step up. It is slightly more expensive than The Ordinary glycolic acid, but I think for the quality of the formulation it's worth every penny."
NIACINAMIDE IS IN TROUBLE - What We Now Know
"This is the PSA Skin Heroine. It's a toner serum. I'd say it's more of a serum in terms of its consistency. It's an exfoliating treatment that contains niacinamide at a perfect concentration to use a couple of times a week. So you're getting the benefits of niacinamide without the risk of overdoing it. I love this because it's also got some great brightening ingredients and mandelic acid, which is one of the best exfoliators. This will smooth out the skin, get your glow game on point and make sure that you're not missing out on niacinamide, but at the same time you're not overdoing it. Once, twice a week is all you need with this. One of my favorite products."
    TOP 20 BEST SKINCARE PRODUCTS 2023 - Part 1 of 2
"This is a once or twice weekly exfoliator that really gets on top of hyperpigmentation. It's a blend of acids coupled with licorice, which is like nature's brightening ingredient, and it is in the most beautiful hydrating toner so it don't strip and dry like some glycolic acids can. This really packs the punch. The formulation is divine. It also has one of these little caps on that you can seal so you can travel with this and it doesn't leak or go everywhere."
ULTIMATE SKINCARE FAVOURITES - My Most Repurchased Skincare 2023
"This is the Heroine Toner which has licorice, you've got some great exfoliators in here, you've got mandelic acid which is my favorite gentle acids. You can use this as your toner every day, so much better than the Ordinary glycolic acid daily toner, more gentle and works better. I actually don't use it every day, I think that's too much for my skin, so I'll tend to use this three times a week, which gives me a great great result. I love it for hyperpigmentation, really helps to get on top of any breakouts that you have and just gives you a more even skin tone."
❌ TONERS ARE CANCELLED - Lets Discuss (Should You Still Use A Toner)
"It's going to eradicate excess pigment that you have quicker by increasing cell turnover, it's going to suppress or normalize that rate of excess pigment production in the first place and it's also quite calming and soothing. I use this as a treat on the skin like twice a week, it's all you need because it's slightly thicker in viscosity than some of the other toners. You don't need a cotton round, just put some on the palm, press it into the skin. It's so calming, soothing but really packs the punch when it comes to smoothing out the surface of the skin and fading hyperpigmentation. One of my absolute favorites, and just look at the color. The color alone is enough to make you want to reach for this. I absolutely love it."
BEST SKINCARE BRAND 2024 - Best Anti Aging Skincare Brand
"This is the heroine toner, a wonderful multiactive formulation exfoliator for fading hyperpigmentation, dark spots and discoloration. So many different exfoliating acids, some licorice root, so good. Couple of times a week on a cotton round, wipe it across the skin. This will fade your hyperpigmentation in a fraction of the time that some of its more expensive competitors will take. I love this."
Major NIACINAMIDE BAN - The Best Niacinamide Serums Still Available
"This is the PSA Skin Heroine Toner 5% Niacinamide. So again that perfect concentration that all these studies show is going to give you maximum results, minimum risk of side effects and irritation. But you have this alongside mandelic acid and other exfoliators. This is a couple of times a week treatment which if your core reason for using niacinamide is to fade hyperpigmentation, dark spots and discoloration, get this. Hands down the best at doing that and it's just a beautiful, beautiful toner. This is one of the ways I get my niacinamide without overdoing it and really getting to grips with my hyperpigmentation."

"PSA Skin, which is the affordable sister brand to Allies of Skin, which is a pretty expensive but very effective brand. PSA Skin has a whole lineup of products. I believe they're all fragrance free. I own, I want to say all of them. They're cruelty free. My favorite is the Heroine, their liquid exfoliant."
