"This actually does a really nice job protecting the skin barrier and feeling nice and lightweight on the skin so that you can follow it up with whatever else you have in your skincare routine without causing peeling or too much issues there. [...] I find this very agreeable on sensitive skin, redness prone skin. I am not worried that this is going to flare it up and make it much worse. It's very gentle. So the 0.1% that's where I'd recommend to start, especially if you've never used them. You don't even have to go up to the 0.2%. If you want to, sure, and it's not causing irritation, yes. But definitely at least start with the lowest option first."

"I'm so excited that Prequel has come out with what I'm thinking will be an accessible retinaldehyde product, in two strengths, 0.1% and 0.2%, with a complex that includes retinaldehyde, ectoin, bioactive seca, and glycerin. It's also 1.7 fluid ounces, a larger size, so on a technicality this actually is a better price point than the comparable Geek and Gorgeous version. This is newer to me, and like with all retinoid products you have to give it several months to see what it really does for your skin, but I've made a decision to go with the lower strength 0.1% version and add it into my routine combined with my adapalene. I think I'm finally ready for that."
