What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this serum for noticeably calming redness and soothing irritated skin, with particular enthusiasm from those managing rosacea or post-inflammatory marks. The formula's blend of oat and licorice is credited with reducing sensitivity and itch, while the green-tinted formula offers mild color correction. The texture earns repeated compliments for being hydrating yet lightweight enough to layer, with an unscented profile that appeals across the board.

"I've been using this as a reset product at night and morning when I take time off from my actives. It's worked great. Less redness on my skin overall. Prequel is such a good skin care brand that have they pretty much never miss. I don't think I dislike any Prequel products."

"They have a redness reform soothing serum with licorice root that is really good for redness, as is oat. And this also has, I believe, a green tint through the chromium oxide green, which will help camouflage the redness. Likely would be good for rosacea and post acne red marks."

"They say it's a custom Advanced molecule blend inspired by nature but with significant soothing benefits that provide beneficial topical redness relief and reduces underlying sensitivities. They have oat kernel extract which of course we know to be soothing, and somebody who tests skin care consistently, somebody who has rosacea, I need that soothing serum consistently within my routine. Oat is great for that and vitamin F is great for barrier support. It's not a color corrector. It's kind of like a thick gel cream, very hydrating and really soothing. Over the last 4 months, my redness that I get from rosacea when I flush, the breakouts that I do get, I don't get that itchiness, I don't get that need to pick at my skin. I don't get that anymore. I feel soothed, my skin feels calm."

"It uses this ingredient because it helps with barrier support, it helps even with some hyperpigmentation, but it also helps with soothing. It says that's an active molecule in licorice known to soothe and brighten the skin, so they're taking the active molecule in licorice rather than just the extract, which I love. I also really love the texture of this, it's kind of like a heavy gel texture with some body to it that's still lightweight, so you can still layer other products with it. And actually, of all the Prequel products, I think this feels like a Korean beauty skincare product. It doesn't smell like anything, which I love."
