What the gurus are saying

Most gurus praise the serum's hydration performance and lightweight texture that layers seamlessly with other products. The standout claim is its long-lasting hydration that holds up all day, particularly valued by those with dehydrated skin. A few note the short ingredient list is sensitive-skin friendly. Dr. Dray found it merely average in performance and ranked it below competitors, though she reported no irritation. The consensus leans strongly positive, especially among those with dry or dehydrated skin types.

"I'm able to tolerate it though just fine. No irritation. The discomfort is not significant and it's very mild and it doesn't last very long. I have found that it's average in its performance as a hydrating product. I don't think it is as good for me or I don't enjoy it as much. I don't get as much wow factor from this as I do from an ectoone standpoint. As far as a polyglutamic acid serum, I would also rank this underneath the Bioma Phytoin Glow Serum. I think it's better than this."

"I was surprised by the hydration that it does bring to the skin. And I think what really struck me about it was the long lasting hydration. I do often suffer with dehydration, and if you have higher hydration needs, your skin demands a lot of hydration because it's going through dehydration and transepidermal water loss throughout the day. You need something that lasts longer in the skin, that works harder for you. I felt like this lasted till the end of the day."

5 Tips to Boost Confidence | Chatty AM Skincare Routine
"This is the Multi Quench Plumping Hydration Serum. I've really been enjoying this. This is poly glutonic acid. There's ectoin in here, which is one of my favorite ingredients for dehydrated skin. I definitely am feeling a touch of dehydration lately in my skin, so I've been playing around with this one. It's got this really great lightweight gel texture."

"It really does a nice job adding some moisture to skin. It's got a short ingredient list, which is nice for sensitive skin. For what this product promises to provide excellent skin moisturization, improve the skin barrier, and support the skin's natural moisturizing factor, I would say it pretty much does all of those things in a serum, especially with a short ingredient list. It's definitely geared towards drier, sensitive skin types. Oily skin types might find it's a little bit too shiny of a finish, but if you apply it under moisturizer it's not going to be a huge issue. For acne-prone skin, we've got carbomer and vitamin E, so not terribly bad for acne-prone skin. This is a full size which is bigger than most serums at 1.7 ounces, 50 milliliters, and it retails for about $28, although if you check out the Prequel site they sometimes have sales. A little bit of it goes a long way, which makes it really affordable. I like the serum."

10 Tricks to Look WAY Prettier (That No One Talks About) | Dr. Sam Ellis
"Applying a hydration serum is going to instantly plump the skin. Serums that have hyaluronic acid are really good at doing this. The Prequel Multi-Quen Serum is also very good at doing this because it uses poly glutamic acid, but these are molecules that essentially draw water to the surface of the skin. So, it's going to fill in those little fine lines, make the skin look more hydrated and juicy, and that's instant prettiness in my book. These tend to work the best when you apply them to damp skin. So, right out of the shower is a great time to apply them, and then you follow it with your moisturizer and then your sunscreen if it's during the day."

"If you're using the Multi Quench Plumping Hydration Serum or Redness Reform, I would clean my skin, apply those, then go in with Retin Renew, and then moisturize on top."

"What I love about Multi Quench is that it actually uses a different humectant called polyglutamic acid, also called PGA for short. Similar to hyaluronic acid, the molecular weight of the polyglutamic acid is going to determine how it works in your skin. In this serum, we use two different weights of polyglutamic acid, which is why it's called a dual weight serum. We use a low molecular weight PGA to act as an antioxidant and to penetrate the skin, and a high molecular weight PGA to enhance water retention and binding in the skin. Our 1% pure PGA plus our 3% PGA complex not only hydrates and smooths the skin but also reduces the appearance of wrinkles and boosts the skin's natural moisturizing factor. By utilizing multiple molecular weights of PGA, this serum provides multi-level hydration for optimal results. For me, polyglutamic acid just provides this very unique plumping ability of the skin that I haven't seen with all of my hydrating serums."

"Polyglutamic acid just provides this very unique plumping ability of the skin that I haven't seen with all of my hydrating serums. I actually love hyaluronic acid and use many products that have it, but I've realized over the years that people are also looking for hydrating serums that bring something new, and some people do have a sensitivity to hyaluronic acid or it's not their favorite ingredient to work with. What really takes Multi Quench to the next level is the inclusion of osmolytes, which are molecules that regulate water retention within cells to prevent dehydration. When used on the skin, osmolytes restore water balance, provide immediate and long-term hydration, and support the skin barrier function. The specific osmolytes within Multi Quench are ectoin, erythritol, and betaine from wild rosella. The serum is also made with 10% glycerin for added humectant properties. You get this deep but lightweight hydration that literally everyone can benefit from."

"The thing that makes Multi Quench so special is you get this deep but lightweight hydration that literally everyone can benefit from. I've tried a lot of hydrating serums over the years and I knew when I wanted to create one for Prequel that I wanted it to be lightweight to layer beautifully with other things and to really not leave any type of heavy residue on the skin. When I put on Multi Quench it's so good, it glides so effortlessly, it's nice and slippy and then it just melts into the skin. Not only does this feel good right when you apply it and throughout the day, but it also allows you to layer other products over it and not let your hydrating serum compromise the rest of your skincare. A great hydrating serum supports the rest of your skincare regimen and doesn't interfere with it. If you're already used to incorporating a hydrating serum within your routine, this is going to fall so seamlessly within your skincare lineup. But also, if you've played with the idea of incorporating a hydrating serum but you didn't know how it was going to potentially work with the rest of your skincare, you can rest assured that this is going to complement everything beautifully. If you apply Multi Quench to damp skin, it's going to help bind that water to your skin and give even more of a plumping effect."

This product leaves the skin looking glowy, healthy, radiant, plump like all the things we want our skin to look like. In true Prequel fashion, Multi Quench is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and allergy tested. It's suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive skin or eczema-prone skin. If you have been dealing with dry, dull, dehydrated skin, you will love Multi Quench."

"I am on their PR list so I have tried a few things they've launched and everything I really really love. I wanted to incorporate my current favorite prequel product which is the Multi Quench Plumping Hydration Serum. I have been using it ever since I heard her talk about it and I've really been loving it. It just kind of plumps the skin, it makes it feel and look very nice."
