What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this as an effective foot treatment that delivers visible results quickly with a rich, occlusive formula. The keratolytic ingredients (urea and salicylic acid) genuinely exfoliate buildup and smooth the skin. Most agree it works well used two to three nights weekly rather than daily. One note of caution: intensive users or athletes should monitor frequency since aggressive exfoliation can occasionally thin calluses enough to cause blistering if overused.

"I finished their Prequel Foot Rescue Advanced Restorative Treatment. This is a foot ointment with some keratolytic ingredients to really actively help improve callous above and beyond simply lubricating the skin surface. It has urea which is a hydrating ingredient but also keratolytic. It also has salicylic acid which also helps to exfoliate buildup of callous. The urea in this is also really good for the health of your nail plate, so like for your toenails for example. I really enjoyed this. It was fine, but in comparison to other foot ointments it is not as intense. I was able to use this on a nightly basis. Feet look great, it really does a good job, does what it's supposed to do, but it's less intense in comparison. I really enjoyed this as well and went through it pretty quickly."

Is Prequel Skincare Worth It?
"If you're somebody who is looking to rejuvenate the look of your feet, try this out. I do caution you may want to be careful not to use it every single night because it does exfoliate that callous, and if you're someone like me who works out a lot, you run, you walk, you're on your feet a lot, you might find that using this every day cuts down on your callous to such a degree that you end up getting blisters. So I only use things like this a couple of nights a week. The best way to use something like this is after you get out of the shower or tub, put this on to the feet that you've just pat dried a little bit so it's not like there's visible water on the skin surface, but at the same time, because you just got out of the shower or tub, the stratum corneum, which is quite thick on the bottoms of your feet, is hydrated. Great time to put this on. It really will allow for those ingredients to penetrate that thick callous and to get in there, help to hydrate the skin, improve shedding of that dead stuff, smoothing out the skin surface. After you put it on, you don't need a lot, you don't need a ton, just a thin film. After you put it on, cover with socks."

"This is a Urea foot cream similar to Carousel which I normally use. I use about that much to the balls of my feet. I am noticing more separation now that I have made my way through quite a bit more of it."

"It's a really great ingredient because you're getting that benefit of the hydration but also the exfoliation, but on top of that it has salicylic acid in it, it has malic acid which is an AHA that's also really great for hydrating your skin, and it has petrolatum in it so it's nice and thick and really helps to lock in any kind of hydration and moisture on your skin. It is a fantastic foot cream. It has all the ingredients that you really should be using to tackle dry spots and patchiness and rough spots basically when it comes to your feet."

"An occlusive formula when it comes to a foot ointment is so important because moisture is constantly wanting to be drawn out of that thick dead skin on your heels and being able to lock it in there is going to ensure that the formula actually works and penetrates the way it's supposed to. This is truly the best foot product I have ever used and really the thing that makes this so exceptional is that you can see results in just one use. I almost never say that about a skin thing because the skin honestly takes a long time to respond to treatments but this works literally overnight. This is a dense rich ointment that still spreads very easily and absorbs into the skin but I really wanted this to be thick enough that when you apply it it stays in place. Your foot skin needs a lot of help and you need something that's really going to hold on to the skin and work where it's placed. This really is thicker and richer and we want it to be that way. It has those added exfoliating and nourishing ingredients for the specific skin on your feet. Something that's quite convenient is that you actually don't need to use it every single day. It is so effective that using it two to three nights a week alone will get you the results that you need. I apply this on the weekends and that is enough to keep my heels really supple and soft."
