What the gurus are saying

The experts who tried it found exosomes show promise for calming redness and possibly smoothing texture, though the evidence is still early. One dermatologist felt the improvement in his own rosacea wasn't dramatic enough to recommend it to patients, while another praised exosomes as the future of skincare but flagged the high price as a real drawback to weigh against the current results.

"Exosomes really are the future of skincare. These are essentially little messenger packets that will cause your skin to act in a certain way. Right now, we're kind of in the infancy of exosome serums in that they can help reduce redness, possibly improve fine lines, but I think we've got a lot in the future that exosomes can do. A lot of patients post treatment that use it say they feel like their skin heals a lot quicker, but that also is maybe attributing to the anti-inflammatory, getting rid of redness. I would knock one or two off because they're damn expensive. But it's replacing some other stuff if you look at it like that."

"I did try the Plated exosome serum just out of personal curiosity. I used it every day for 3 months. And I do feel like it helped with the redness of my rosacea and maybe my skin looked a little bit less textured, but it wasn't enough of an impact for me to feel like, yeah, I feel confident recommending this or selling this to my patients."
