The experts who reviewed it have significant reservations. One concern is depth control: the gurus found it hard to prevent the burn from going too deep, which can lead to scarring. They also flagged a safety issue that anything removed should be sent for pathology testing to rule out skin cancer, and warned that untrained people are using these devices on themselves and others. One expert noted the device does stop bleeding through coagulation but requires many passes, and while cosmetic results may be acceptable, they don't recommend it as a first choice for mole removal.
