"I used to use this all the time so I'm going to use it to set the face. This smells so good. And then I'm going to press that setting spray into the skin with my sponge."

"It smells really good. It's not overly fragranced to a point where you'll be like, oh, perfume, but it does have a very small fragrance to it. It's very light and not floral. It's very clean and fresh. With some hydrating mists or skin prep mist, I consider my skin to be sensitive, not like crazy sensitive. I can use ahas and stuff like that and it might sting a little bit around my nose. So when I'm trying a new product, I can get a little bit stingy, but this does not sting at all."

    What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

    Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.
