"This is your step two. This is a little pricey, but you can get this for 15% off with my code. [...] This is better tolerated by a wider range of people and skin types than traditional ascorbic acid types of vitamin C serums. Now typically better tolerated may mean weaker or less results, however with this formulation here you might actually get even better results, so it's really a splurge-worthy product to save your skin from irritation but still max out on your skincare goals. This one has THD ascorbate in it, which is the inactive form of vitamin C. When you put it onto your skin it gets converted to ascorbic acid, very similar to the concept of retinaldehyde which gets converted to retinoic acid on your skin. This has a dose of vitamin C THD ascorbate at 20%. That's a lot, but because it's more gentle you can actually tolerate a higher dose. If we're talking 20% ascorbic acid, which is pure vitamin C, that would be a very high risk of irritation, but not with this. You cannot compare those apples to apples."
