What the gurus are saying

Peptides aimed at muscle movement and fine lines are what these gurus keep returning to, and many like the light, silky feel that leaves no greasy finish. Some doubt the Botox comparison and the price, and a few find the base thick and very sealing, which may not suit acne-prone skin. Those with dry skin may find it a comfortable fit, and it can sit nicely under other products in the morning.

"For dry skin, I've got [...] the Peter Thomas Roth Skin Injection Amplified Wrinkle Fix Refillable Peptide Serum. It's 65 bucks. [...] This one's great for dry skin because it's very emollient. It's got dimethicone and squalane in it, which are great for hydrating skin. So if your skin tends to be on the drier side, this one's nice. Or for your morning routine, this one's really nice and works well under and with other products."

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide Skinjection™ Amplified Wrinkle-Fix Refillable Serum Review, How to, Dupes
"I'm not a big fan of peptides marketing themselves as Botox in a bottle. [...] Botox is injected, and no topical product can compare with something that's injected. It can help, but it's not going to be on the same power. I don't think it can prolong a topical product not needing it for another six months. That's way over the top promising for a product, especially peptides. [...] I think it does help with fine lines, wrinkles, hydration, all that stuff."

New Skincare 🆕 The Ordinary, Byoma, Bubble, Cetaphil, & Peter Thomas Roth First Impressions Review
"It feels really silky and nice. [...] There's no scent to it. It feels really nice. It soaks in. It feels non-greasy and non-heavy. [...] For the stars of the show, we've got 2% Matrixel, 5% Argalene, and 2% Matrixel Synthesis, and 10% Argu, which I think is Argolene. So that's their patented or their trademarked one, said 10% Argu peptide solution twice daily for six months is prolong your need for injectable."

"This is the last Peter Thomas Roth product I ever bought. Probably will be the last one I ever buy. The Peter Thomas Roth Peptide Skin Injection Amplified Serum is a really siliconey lotion serum with peptides such as argolene matrixle synthesis and luasil as well as sodium hyaluronate and sacroyces ferment. It's 1 oz for 65 bucks. It's very thick siliconey. I'm sure I'll finish this but obviously I'm not going to repurchase it."

"It is on the thick side. [...] It is very occlusive. It's got some very occlusive ingredients in there. So it's great for sealing everything in. But I will say if you have acne prone skin be cautious because it contains several ingredients that are very acneogenic which you may not love. [...] For beneficial ingredients we've got squalane, damethone, argireline peptide, matrixyl synthesis peptide, the luasal peptide and vitamin E. Really wonderful product."

"The Peter Thomas Roth Skin Injection is a newer one that I've been testing. [...] I will say if you have acne prone skin, I would not recommend this because it does contain a high amount of damethone which for some people can be kind of skin suffocating. For me with my super dry skin, I actually don't mind it. I actually really like it. But in addition to the damethone, it's got a lot of good peptides in here. Argolene, matrixyl, matrixyl synthesis, all this good stuff."

"Peter Thomas Roth has his Peptide Skin Injection Amplified Wrinkle Fix Refillable Serum. This is a combination of Matrixyl and Argireline. So it's going to help with collagen production, but it's also going to help to minimize the muscle movement and the look of fine lines in the now. So you're going to get smoothing and firming effects."

"I really like this. It's super lightweight, but it's also packed with peptides to firm and plump the skin. It absorbs pretty quick. You don't need much. Comes in a really nice pump. It's a [...] really lightweight serum. No greasy residue whatsoever. Doesn't leave you shiny. It's designed to target and visibly reduce wrinkles and fine lines. This formula leverages a blend of peptides to signal collagen production. Also improves skin elasticity."

The formula here leverages a blend of peptides to signal collagen production and improve skin elasticity, making it a powerful addition to an anti-aging routine. The key ingredient is a peptide complex which encourages collagen synthesis helping to restore firmness and elasticity. "I've been wanting to try this one for so long, the Peptide Skin Injection Amplified Wrinkle Fix Serum. This has 19% peptide complex of amplified matrixyl and argireline. I do like that this is a refill system, the lots of plastic refill system, it's better than not having a refill at all. I would say it is the kind of creamy texture of a serum, they've got the cosmetic elegance down, it feels lovely to apply."

"For double the price of The Ordinary you can get this one by Peter Thomas Roth called Skin Injection. This also has Matrix 3000 in it, it has acetyl hexapeptide 8. I do not believe it has copper in it. It's quite pricey. I got this recently from Sephora. It's newer to my personal skincare stockpile but Peter Thomas Roth is such a great brand."
