What the gurus are saying

AliceintheRabbitHole and Alexandra Anele rate it highly; Dr Dray is mixed. Dr Dray: "I was gifted this cleansing oil from Peach and Lily, their Ginger Melt Oil Cleanser. I'm sure it's on the expensive side, this brand often is a little pricier, although not jaw dropping."

"I finally finished the Peach and Lily Ginger Melt Oil Cleanser. I really enjoyed this, it's just a really well-made cleanser. It's one of those cleansing oils that thoroughly comes off your skin, some feel like they leave behind a film, some burn and sting your eyes, and this was just pretty much as close to perfect as you can get. I guess the one con would be that it has been a little bit more expensive than some of the K-beauty brand options, but that might be changing."

"I'm using the Peach and Lily Ginger Melt Oil Cleanser. This is a really nice oil cleanser and I'm glad I got it at fifty percent off, which is the price I like to pay on anything expensive. It advertises that you don't necessarily need to follow it with a second cleanser, and I noticed it leaves no film behind at all. I applied it to dry skin and emulsified it with water."

"I was gifted this cleansing oil from Peach and Lily, their Ginger Melt Oil Cleanser. I'm sure it's on the expensive side, this brand often is a little pricier, although not jaw dropping. It smells weird, kind of like a pool float odor mixed with cooking oil and plastic. It's a thicker consistency, almost like shampoo, and I don't know what the ingredients are, but it doesn't seem to have added fragrance. I kind of enjoy the texture, but it doesn't really feel like an oil, it feels more like a polymer, kind of silicone-y. It does the job as far as removing cosmetics, mascara, and water resistant sunscreen, and it feels pleasant, but the odor is just bizarre, and there's not much of an emulsified lather when you just get it wet. Overall it's actually not bad, but if you're going to plunk down the money for a cleansing oil you want it to be a pleasant experience, and this is a bit bizarre in terms of the odor. It's not any better than any other oil cleanser, they're all kind of the same at the end of the day."

"In terms of oil cleansers, this got everything off of my face. It was so good while remaining relatively gentle, I think, not stripping in any way. [...] It dissolves everything. If I was wearing makeup, it got rid of everything. And I was very very impressed with it. [...] Sometimes I'll use a cleansing balm or an oil and I feel like I need to go in with at least a gentle cleanser after that. I did not feel that way with this. I felt like it got everything out of the way. It removed everything. It was really good."
