What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this serum for its balanced, lightweight-yet-creamy texture and strong barrier-restoring formula. The standout ingredient is ectoin, an antioxidant that protects skin and helps lock in long-term hydration, which reviewers note pairs intelligently with the lipid complex. Recurring praise centers on how well it absorbs without congestion, performs across seasons, and delivers visible soothing relief for irritated skin. Price at $47 draws occasional pushback, but most feel it compares favorably to competing barrier serums and justify the cost by results.

"I recommended the Peach and Lily Rescue Party Barrier Serum. I would say all of these are still great products. You can't go wrong with any of them."

Best Serums with Ceramides for Smooth, Soft Skin - My Favorite Hydrating Serums
"It's the Peach and Lily Rescue Party Barrier Restore Serum and this one's got a lot of good stuff in it. It's got panthenol, ceramides, oat, squalane, mugwort, allantoin, and I think it's also got heartleaf in it. It's got a really nice serum lotion texture to it which is super wonderful. I've been using this actually, I'm wearing it today underneath my moisturizer and foundation and feels really nice. There's also a moisturizer version as well of it, so very wonderful. You can get it on sale, even better, so worth checking out."
Ask Me Anything Part One - Age, College, Product Recommendations
"The Peach and Lily Rescue Party Barrier Serum contains several of the same ingredients as other barrier serums, with ceramides, allantoin, butylene glycol, lactic acid, arginine, and sodium hyaluronic acid. It's probably the closest version to other options I've tried. It's a little bit pricey, but I really like this one. It's new, it's really nice and hydrating, so for dry skin it's a really nice option."
What is Your Skin Barrier & How to Repair It - New Skin Barrier Repair Products
"For the serum, we've got oat kernel oil, that's a really good one for soothing. We've got ceramides, so good for barrier repair. Fatty acids in here, vitamin E, panthenol, squalane. It's definitely got a thicker, creamy texture which I thought it would be a little thicker, but it really feels lightweight. So that one feels nice."

"I fell in love with this earlier this year. This is such a beautiful barrier strengthening and repairing serum. It has a really nice focus on ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, and there's some beautiful ectoin in here, which truly is the trending ingredient of 2024. Ectoin is a really great antioxidant that is particularly helpful for dehydrated skin because it really helps your skin retain hydration long term. So it's actually a really great pair with all these barrier restoring ingredients, because when your barrier is impaired, when it's weak or damaged, you are more prone to losing hydration through that weakened moisture barrier. Your skin is going to be more dehydrated. So not only do we have those major factors, those lipids that contribute to strengthening the barrier, but we also have some ingredients that help right here in the moment to keep your skin more hydrated and comfortable and really resist that tight and dry feeling deep within your skin. I just think it's a really smart formula overall. It has a beautiful texture. While it is creamy, there is a really good amount of hydration to it and it's light."

5 Star Skincare Empties! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"This is something I go to when my skin is feeling a little bit weak, a little bit sensitive or irritated, maybe it's burning, and this does the trick beautifully. It's a great barrier restoring serum. It has a couple different forms of ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, and it also has ectoin, which is an antioxidant that's not only very protective but also incredibly hydrating, really good for dehydrated skin, helps your skin retain hydration, which really plays into all that barrier support in the formula. I found it like a nice in-between expression of a barrier serum. Barrier serums often have a very creamy, very emollient texture, sometimes they can have more of a hydrating gel texture. This is somewhere in between it's a little bit lighter, runnier, still a little bit creamy but just not as heavy. It's a little bit pricey, but I feel like it was worth it."

Ectoin | Trending Ingredient Alert!
"It's so refreshing and deeply replenishing on the skin, and then we've got the creamy elements here with the lipids, the ceramides, the phytosphingosine, the fatty acids, and the colloidal oatmeal too, which brings a really beautiful moisturization to the skin that is so elegant, breathable, light, but also restorative and nourishing. I've been using this product quite a bit in my everyday skincare routines right now because I was using a different barrier serum that was actually starting to clog up my skin and create some congestion, so I switched out to this one and it's perfect. It's keeping all of the soothing nourishment and the restorative feel that I'm really seeking for right now in the dead of winter, but it's not overwhelming my skin with too many emollients that are maybe causing some congestion, so it's actually like the perfect fit for me right now. They really nailed it. They walk a line beautifully. Beautiful absorption deep into the skin, it's not sitting on top. Really nice balance between hydration and moisture, really great performance. The ectoin plays a huge role in the formulation here from the hydration feel to the fighting transepidermal water loss to supporting all the other benefits of this serum."
February Faves + Fails | Skinfix, Peach & Lily, Dr. Dana Nails, Tir Tir
"I could keep my barrier in a really good spot, give it that little extra lift that it needed without overwhelming it. Looking at the ingredients list, I felt fairly confident this was going to have a lighter texture to it, and I was right. It has five different types of ceramides, a couple of different fatty acids, phytosphingosine, and ectoin, which is a really potent antioxidant that protects from UV and environmental stressors and is a potent anti-pollution ingredient. It's considered an overall skin protector but it's also a deep hydrator for the skin. It doesn't just attract hydration into the skin, it actually creates this long lasting hydration shell within the skin that is incredibly beneficial for dehydrated skin. And dehydration is a symptom of a weak or damaged moisture barrier, so ectoin is a really smart addition. Plus they have colloidal oatmeal, heartleaf, and mugwort, which are really great anti-inflammation soothing ingredients. So all the things I want right now for my skin, but in a more hydrating lighter texture. This is more of a runny gel cream type of texture."
April Fave + Empties | Bringgreen, Dr. Idriss, Numbuzin, Aprilskin, P&L
"The Peach and Lily Rescue Party Barrier Restore Serum is particularly good for dehydrated skin, sensitive skin, and skin that maybe struggles with the moisture barrier. It really strengthens your skin but it also really helps your skin retain hydration. I like that little extra layer of antioxidant protection with the ectoin as well. This was really worth it, though it's not a cheap serum by any means."
This or That? Peach & Lily vs Skinfix Barrier Repair Serums | ep 32
"Adding in Peach and Lily was that really nice middle layer for me. I love how this absorbs into my skin and I love the hydration of this. For me personally, Peach and Lily feels like the type of serum that I could use at any time in any season. Texture-wise, I'm not afraid that this is going to congest my skin even when I'm more oily and it's hot and humid. It just has that flexibility to work in multiple different seasons, which is an important factor to me. I also really like the price of this compared to alternatives at the $47 price point."

"Peach and Lily was that really nice middle layer for me. I love how this absorbs into my skin. I love the hydration of this. For me personally, Peach and Lily feels like the type of serum that I could use at any time, in any season. I definitely could see myself using this in the summer if I felt like it was the right fit for my skin at the time. Texture-wise, I'm not afraid that this is going to congest my skin even when I'm more oily and it's more hot and humid. I'm not that concerned about the texture because it just has that flexibility to work in multiple different seasons. I also really like the price of this compared to other options, it's about $20 less. I feel slightly more comfortable at that $47 price point."
Spring Skincare Swaps | My Skincare Changes for the Season
"I've been really obsessed with the Peach and Lily Rescue Party Barrier Serum. I absolutely adore it. It's a really lovely, light creamy type of texture with a lot of hydration. There's a really good content of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. There's some Ectoin in here, which is a really strong antioxidant that goes the extra mile. It doesn't just protect your skin from free radicals, it actually shields your skin from pollution. It's a great ingredient if you do suffer with dehydration because it has the ability to help your skin retain hydration for the long term. So it really aids a hydrating formula or a barrier supportive formula. This serum has been so helpful for me, especially in the very late winter and early spring. It's creamy but not really rich, not really overly nourishing or thick or greasy. It feels really great on the skin."

"The serum is $47. Peach and Lily are kind of a little bit up there in price range, but I will always want to try their products because of that vitamin C serum they did, which helped with a huge irritated scar and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation so quickly that I will always pay a bit more money for Peach and Lily because I know their products work for me. This does sound like a unique take on a barrier support product with the calcium complex that delivers calcium deep into skin and visibly restores the barrier. This is a more unique take that I'm interested in."
