"This is basically a pore smoothing primer in my opinion. It does have ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide which can help to regulate oil production and also reduce the look of pores almost immediately. It has mushroom extract, but the whole thing about this is that it's actually kind of like a paste with a little bit of color. When I first tried this I really hated it because I was expecting skincare and I got a pasty primer, but then when I look at this as a blend between skincare and makeup I'm like oh my gosh this is the pasty primer with skincare benefits that I've been looking for. It's basically a newer and better version of that discontinued Smashbox primer because it has skincare ingredients. The niacinamide in here could help with redness over time, and this has a coffee extract and zinc PCA where coffee or caffeine can vasoconstrict to help with redness in the face, and zinc PCA can also help with oil control. I love it if I see it as a primer and I know that some of those redness reduction benefits are going to wash away when I rinse this off my face, but if I'm using this as a primer or even if I'm using this without makeup on underneath and I just understand that this is skincare plus coverage in the same product, you can get on my face every day."

"This Instant Pore Perfector is a primer before you put on your makeup. It's okay, but it's not my favorite primer. I'm kind of picky about primers. I think Bare Minerals is one of my favorite primers that I actually love. This one is tinted and it's super light. It goes on pretty quickly and is really light. I like it, but there are so many primer options out there and it probably wasn't my favorite one. I don't know if I'll get this one again. But if you're looking for a new primer, it's not bad. It's tinted, rubs in nice and smooth."
