What the gurus are saying

One guru found it a solid hydrating product that smooths and plumps skin, and works well as a makeup prep or standalone essence. However, another expert notes it delivers straightforward hydration without novel benefits, and flags that the colostrum is largely marketing rather than proven to help skin. Both agree it hydrates well. Those with dogs in the home may want to keep it safely stored, since it contains xylitol, which is unsafe for pets.

"This has been one of the more popular products in the KBD scene this year and I honestly really like it. This capitalizes on colostrum, which is an animal-derived ingredient that is supposed to have a whole host of benefits for the skin that can help with all the processes that make your skin look more youthful, to help with skin texture, quality, tone, all of that. But there's actually some other more interesting ingredients in my personal opinion in this. It includes sin high can, which is a peptide that can actually boost the synthesis of hyaluronic acid within the skin. This is a peptide that helps your skin stay hydrated and helps it stay hydrated for longer. It's also formulated in a way that helps to smooth out the skin, hydrate the skin, and plump the skin. It's particularly good to use in a skincare routine or prior to makeup. You can put it on almost like a primer, like a makeup prep spray. You can also set your makeup with it. And if you're not a makeup user, you could actually just use this like a spray-on essence or toner."

"It's hydrating, it's nice, it's lightweight, but it's nothing novel. The colostrum is just part of the storytelling of this. It is an SEO hijack. It doesn't mean that there's any established track record of it being beneficial for the skin. It's not a bad product. It does what it's supposed to do, what you would expect it to do, but it's not magical. It's just another hydrating liquid. Also, word of warning, they put xylitol in this. So those of you with dogs, I would be careful. Xylitol is not good for dogs."
