7% Ectoin Plus Hyaluronic Acid Milky Hydrating Serum.

"It's a basic face serum with 7% ectoin. And ectoin is a great one. You can certainly use in your evening routine, but it's a great one for daytime because it helps protect your skin from pollution and also protect your skin from potential UV damage. It's also great for hydrating, soothing, and barrier repairing. So it makes a great daytime and evening skin product. And then it also contains sodium hyaluronate, squalene and vitamin E, fragrance-free, all that good stuff. It's 44 bucks, so it's a little bit expensive for ectoin. I mean, there's a lot of basic ectoin serums out there. I think the Inky List has an ectoin serum, I want to say Good Molecules. You don't have to spend 44 bucks, but it looks like it has a nice light texture."

"My favorite ectoin product right now is the Paula's Choice 7% Ectoin Milky Serum Booster. It has 7% ectoin, and sometimes I just mix in a drop or two with a serum or moisturizer. It helps hydrate skin, calm it down, and helps with texture a little bit as well. It's fragrance free. This is a newer one and I really am enjoying it."

"This one packs 7% ectoin plus hyaluronic acid. So, two hydrators. This has a nice soft, fluid, milky texture. It's very emollient. It feels very soothing going on the skin. Spreads easily. It really does leave the skin immediately feeling quenched, moisturized, and importantly that hydration is sustained throughout the entire day and throughout the entire night. I've used this many nights as my only moisturizer along with, of course, my tretinoin. And it was more than adequate as a facial moisturizer. It's actually on the richer side. It's a thin fluid that spreads easily on the skin, but it's very emollient rich. I was kind of a little nervous whether this will lead to peeling of sunscreen that I put on over it. I never experienced that with this when using it during the day. This is a great option if your skin is feeling tight, dry, or very sensitive. The pros are that it's a solid ectoin formulation. It leaves the skin feeling instantly hydrated, fragrance-free, and suitable for sensitive, reactive skin. The cons, however, are the price. This is expensive. You go through this product very quickly, especially if you're using it twice a day. You end up needing two droppers full of product to really get it all over the face and your neck. And so, I find that I am burning through this $40 serum pretty quickly. But without a doubt, it's good."

"This without a doubt is the best product Paula's Choice in my opinion has put out in the past, I don't know, 3 or 4 years. Been a while since they've had a winner in my opinion. And this is good stuff. It's very emollient. It's hydrating. It gives the skin this nice plump, glowy, fresh look. It also has hyaluronic acid, jojoba seed oil, glycerin, which is going to be very hydrating, and squalane, a lightweight emollient. This is a milky serum toner, and in contrast to many milky toners out there, it has a very emollient texture."
