This is best for that one person who's obsessed with clean beauty—if you are obsessed with clean beauty and afraid to use chemicals, well, water is a chemical, air is a chemical. If you're trying to buy this for a friend or a family member or as a gift, if you know someone who's like all about natural beauty, bakuchiol is a natural beauty friendly ingredient. I love this if you do have hyperpigmentation or just discoloration in the skin or if you get those little leftover marks that stick behind after that pimple goes away, this is one of the best."

"This is a favorite from Paula's Choice, the 0.3 percent retinol and 2 percent bakuchiol treatment with peptides and vitamin C because it's photostable, meaning it's okay to use in the sun, and retinol can be degraded by sunlight, but this product combines both of them and gives you the best of both worlds. It's a really nice formula with a beautiful yellow color, it soaks into the skin really well as a serum, and the added bonus of those peptides and vitamin C makes this a really great option for anti-aging. I would recommend this for oily to combination skin, and if you're dry I would recommend something a little thicker, but this is a fantastic one."

"This 0.3 retinol is really perfect for me because if I'm really tired and I zone out during my skincare routine and I apply a little bit too much, it is not a big deal. This also has other ingredients in there apart from just the retinol, so it means that I can do fewer steps, which is always great for me. I just really love this as a super effective one-step foolproof product for when I'm really tired. This is a really nice lightish lotion. I found it gentle and non-irritating, and the base is thick enough that it works as a moisturizer as well, at least on my oily skin."
