"Papa Recipe's Blemish Enzyme Powder Cleanser has rice powder, walnut shell, and PHA. The exfoliating ingredients are really gentle—PHA is the gentler version of AHA that works slower, meaning it's more gentle, while the rice and walnut shell powder gives you a really gentle scrub all in a pH balanced cleanser. The texture is a powder, not big shells or grains. When you add water and lather it up on your face, you feel those scrubby particles very gently almost vanish as you gently exfoliate your skin. It's like once they've done their job, they disappear and glide over the skin with a very gentle buffing texture, not a rip and scrub into the skin. With daily or every other day use of this product, you get a really nice gentle exfoliation that is effective without the risk of overdoing it without destroying your skin barrier, which will lead to further issues. It also has rice water which helps hydrate and brighten skin, even out skin tone, and make you look fresher alongside soothing allantoin and hydrating glycerin. This is a gentle exfoliating product that for rosacea-prone skin like mine at my age, I don't want to suffer from inflammaging which is irritating your skin to the point where it becomes inflamed and speeds up the aging process, so I'm taking a very gentle approach."

"I was very excited about this as a really great alternative to another enzyme cleanser. The main ingredients in here are actually corn starch and rice powder which are much more gentle on the skin. However, unfortunately you guessed it, this also contains tiny fragments of walnuts. I'm so mad. Even though this is a come to mama product I started using this powder exfoliator and I actually love this, and I kind of did love the scrubby-dubby feeling. This has sake and the enzyme part is from papain from papayas, and it's at almost 2,000 parts per million in this product. But it's also got fragrance which was kind of a disappointment since most of the other products didn't have it. This is a perfect example of a product that I used and thought I knew my ingredients but I obviously didn't look at them critically enough, and I ended up actually kind of liking it but then feeling horrible about it. The fragrance was a disappointment, and for me this was bottom level, not for my face. There are other exfoliating scrubs that I like better."
