What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the moisturizer for delivering hydration without a greasy finish, making it ideal for makeup prep and layering with serums. It performs particularly well for those with dry skin or during winter months. The main caveat is that it may feel heavy for oily skin types during warmer seasons or everyday wear, though it works beautifully as part of a layered routine.

"I've been loving the Outset. This might be a little bit too heavy for those of you with oily skin, but it's perfect for my dry skin as a light moisturizer."

"It doesn't leave me looking oily or like too shiny or anything. I do mist the collagen serum and then the Outset Moisturizer when I do my makeup. It's my favorite for when I do makeup, that's just my favorite combination. It just creates such a beautiful base and then I usually don't even feel like I need to use a primer, which is fantastic. It contains squalane oil and squalene, one of them is plant derived and one of them isn't. It has squalene so it is very moisturizing, which I love. It's great for when I'm doing my makeup. It's a little bit much for my daytime but it's winter, it's winter in LA, it's a little bit drier than usual so I'm fine with it."
