What the gurus are saying

The research backing stands out here, those who reviewed it examined the science papers and found solid support for the formulations, with the founders' credentials as a particular strength. The broad-spectrum formula features a zinc oxide base, is lightweight, and includes a proprietary peptide. Available tinted and non-tinted for face and body, it's particularly praised for mature skin, though premium pricing is the only real caveat.

"One Skin also makes a great sunscreen. I love their broad spectrum sunscreen."

"This peptide technology is quite nice and I love having it in my sunscreens. It has a zinc oxide base, it's quite lightweight, and they made a tinted sunscreen that I like. Their body sunscreen is also a nice find, and that's also zinc oxide based. But you are paying for that technology, so the price point is higher. I pulled up a recent paper they did in reconstructed 3D skin models, and OS1 increased epidermal thickness and improved expression of barrier and repair genes."

Dermatologist Explains: Anti-Aging Skincare Routine By Age
"The one that has great science, I was able to look through the papers, is OneSkin. So their face supplement, they have a sunscreen, but they also have just a face moisturizer and a body moisturizer. That's something you can consider to actually reverse the biological age of your skin, but you're paying for it. I love that the PhDs that founded the company have sent me studies. I was able to look through the studies, and I like the products, so I use their sunscreen and their moisturizers quite a bit."
The Best Water-Resistant Sunscreens
"Another option for those with mature skin would be OneSkin. This is a nice sunscreen. I like their non-tinted option and their tinted sunscreens. Higher price point, but this has a peptide that's special to the brand, OS1, and they found it in the lab. It's been shown to help clear out senescent cells that are just on the older side, they have no regenerative capabilities in the skin, and this helps repair the skin, repair the DNA. You just kind of have these old cells hanging out and this helps clear it, and so thus it reverses biological age of your skin. So this is great for those of mature skin, or even for myself, I use this in my 30s, because we're finding more research on peptides being cell signalers, telling our cells to make more collagen and increase the thickness of your skin, giving you a more youthful look. But this is not water resistant, so that's why I want to mention that, in case you need a sunscreen that is water resistant."
