"My longtime favorite has been the NYX Mineral Matte Powder. That one's fantastic. The thing I like about it is that it comes in shades, so you can get something kind of close to your skin tone or you can get it in translucent. The other thing that I like about this powder is it's not completely 100% matte. It's not a flat matte and it won't make your makeup look dry and cakey. So it looks really, really good on the skin, but it also has the most amazing blurring effect."

"My Holy Grail setting powder is the NYX Mineral Matte Powder and this comes in a few shades. I wear it in the shade Light Medium. I love this one especially for a holiday or for a big party because it doesn't give flashback. I use an e.l. blush brush to apply this. I just take a little bit of the powder, pour it in the cap, then I just take the brush and really just swirl it in the powder, being sure to pick it up on the brush, and then I tap it off because we really don't want a lot of powder under our eyes. But this powder is so fine, so lightweight that it really works great even on mature skin. I just kind of press it in, and when I press it I make sure that I push the brush a little bit to the outside because I don't want to be pushing in because that tends to push my wrinkles in. You really need your skin to stay smooth when you're doing this. I always powder my T-Zone too, but this powder's so nice because it mattifies enough but it's not completely matte so it looks really natural and really skin-like."

"My favorite powder to use with it is the NYX Mineral Matte Powder. This is super lightweight, it doesn't add any heaviness or cakiness to your makeup, and it works great because it keeps this matte where I want it to be matte and the shine doesn't break through the powder. So this powder really sets it. I don't have to worry about it. I just put it on once and then the parts of my face that I want mattified like my under eyes, the fronts of my cheeks, my chin, right here on my forehead, they stay matte. But then the rest of my face is nice and luminous and dewy and it looks lightweight and it feels dry and set and I love it."

"I'm going to use the NYX Mineral Matte Powder to set under my eyes and down my T-zone. I think if you have dry skin you would like this because what I find is that on dry skin, things that are super luminous on me are less luminous on them. They tend to soak in a little bit more and not look quite so shiny. Of course, they usually don't have enlarged pores that are then enhanced, which I do."

"I'm going to go ahead and set that with the NYX Mineral Matte Powder because it's so so very lightweight and it won't add any extra heaviness. I'm going to use my BK 108 brush, this is a nice soft fluffy brush that I love for setting powder, just to mattify that down. You see how that shininess kind of accentuates the puffiness, and now that I've mattified it the puffiness is a little bit less accentuated."

"This is my current Holy Grail setting powder, the one that I love the most, and it's from the drugstore and it's so inexpensive. I wear this in the shade light medium and I love this one so much because it's a very lightweight powder, it's very finely milled, but it does have a little bit of color to it so it's not going to give me flashback and it looks so natural on my skin. It just sets my makeup so perfectly without adding any heaviness to the makeup, without making it look cakey, without making it settle into my wrinkles. This is the powder that I use to set my under-eye concealer and this makes my concealer last longer, look better, settle into my wrinkles less. This is just such a winner for me. "My NYX Mineral Matte Finishing Powder, which I ended up using on the other side of my face, this kept the makeup more crease free and out of my wrinkles better and also helped it to not get shiny later on in the day. "I discovered this powder during 2022 and it instantly became my Holy Grail finishing powder. It's so lightweight, it doesn't add any powderiness or any heaviness. Even though this is called matte powder, it's not 100% matte—it does have the slightest bit of light reflectiveness to it, so it makes your skin look really not super glowy, not super highlighting. I use it to mattify my pores and mattify under my eyes so that my eye bags don't look so big and my pores don't look so big, and it works so well to reduce those things, but it also looks very natural on the skin. It doesn't like suck all the moisture out of your foundation or your skin. It just is the most perfect finishing powder. I wear it in the shade light medium and I love that. Have repurchased."

"I had been so devoted to the IT Cosmetics bye bye pores powder for years, but since I started using this NYX Mineral Matte powder, I don't use that anymore. While the IT Cosmetics powder does work beautifully to set your under eyes and doesn't add any heaviness or wrinkles, it does give you flashback if you're being photographed with a flash. With this powder you don't get any flashback, and it works just as well as the IT Cosmetics one on making my pores disappear and setting my under eye concealer so it is perfect and crease free. It doesn't add any heaviness, it's very lightweight, and I'm really loving that."

"I really like the NYX mineral matte powder. I use just a tiny tiny bit of this with an E.L. blush brush, tapping it off so my brush isn't full, and then I set my concealer. If I don't set it and it's a little bit luminous then light reflects off the top of my eye bag and that accentuates the shadow underneath it, so setting it makes the eye bag disappear."

"The NYX Mineral Matte Finishing Powder has a little bit of a tint to it but it is a translucent powder. I love this little brush from BK Beauty, it's just the perfect size to use underneath your eyes. As far as the powders that I put with the foundation, I would definitely say that I prefer the NYX powder over the Physicians Formula. I think they were both pretty good powders, they didn't make the makeup look heavy or cakey, but this one did control my oils a little bit better. The other thing that I prefer about this is that it doesn't have a fragrance. So of the two I would definitely recommend the NYX."

"I discovered this NYX Mineral Matte Finishing Powder and I love it so much it's become my HG powder and I use it just about every day. It goes great with all my foundations. I actually don't even really reach for this one that much anymore. The IT Cosmetics powder does mattify really well, it does hide your pores really well, but it also has a little bit of like a slight luminosity to it and I'd say that that's why this one is a dupe for this one because they act the same on your skin. I almost give the NYX an edge because it comes in a few different shades and because it comes in shades it doesn't give as much flashback. The IT does give flashback if you're taking a picture of yourself in a darkened room with a point blank flash. The NYX doesn't give flashback so that is a really great dupe."
