What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the tiny, precise applicator tip for clean definition and controlled application, and love the long-wearing, deeply pigmented stain formula that doesn't require constant touch-ups. The main complaint is applicator inconsistency, some find product flow unpredictable and prefer the original NYX Lip Lingerie applicator. Pricing at drugstore counters is seen as steep, and shade selection skews very dark, which may not suit lighter skin tones without careful blending.

"I really like the lip lingerie lip liner stain from NYX in the shade Lip Lock, but it's pretty dark for my skin. It's a beautiful cool tone, but for me, I'm a little too pale for it to not just look like a line. So I have to blend it really quickly. My only criticism of it is I don't love the applicator. It's firm and round and then it gets fluffy at the end, which is where the product is supposed to come out. But I find it to be a little bit inconsistent with the amount of product that comes out. Sometimes I feel like I have to turn it upside down to get the product out. I would have liked it to be more like the NYX Lip Lingerie, which is so tiny and precise. I don't have to work super hard for the product to come out, and it's soft enough."

"I always kind of compare this to the NYX Lip Lingerie lip liner stain because I love the NYX Lip Lingerie ones. I love the applicator. I love how small it is and how defined you can get with the tip."

What Brands Sent Me… and What I’d Actually Buy
"I line my lips with a Nyx Lip Lingerie Lip Liner Stain. These are amazing. What I've always been looking for is a color that I can put down that looks like contour. So in the day I don't have to line my lip with a pencil. I tried the like peel off ones and all this kind of stuff. They are nice. For me, it's an issue of precision with a lot of them. It's an issue with the way the formula lays down. It kind of gets these weird bubbles in it sometimes and you get this fuzzy edge. So when I saw these I was like, let me give that a go because that tip looks like precision. It was the best. It was the best thing ever."
IT'S TOO PIGMENTED!!! 🤬 Testing New Viral Makeup Releases (Huda, Melt, NYX & More)
"These have this tiny little tip here, which is very interesting for precision. That's nice, that's good. I like that a lot. You can definitely soften it a little bit. Love that, love that stain. It's very, very much gripped onto my hand. Very grippy, which suggests that an oil based makeup remover is going to remove that, which is fine. They go really deep. That's beautiful."
IT'S TOO PIGMENTED!!! 🤬 Testing New Viral Makeup Releases (Huda, Melt, NYX & More)
"They go really deep. There's one called Wild Side, which is extremely deep. I actually got these from TikTok Shop because you can't find them anywhere else at the moment. It was £10. That's expensive for a drugstore product, don't you think?"
