What the gurus are saying

Gurus appreciate the affordable price and smooth application, with noticeable grip that keeps makeup in place on dry patches. The main reservation is that it doesn't deliver the longest wear time compared to other gripping primers on the market, and the hold feels moderate rather than exceptional. Spot application works, though full-face use is recommended for best results.

"Since I've been really flaky and dry, I decided to pick this up. And actually, this works pretty good. If my skin is really flaky and I want things to lay flat on the skin when I am wearing foundation and makeup, then this is a great product to use prior to your tinted product. Your makeup just grips so nicely on top of this. This is really affordable. I don't overdo it with this product, I just use a little bit. I tried this all over the face one time, and then the second time I just used it in those drier areas like around my mouth, my chin, and maybe in between my brows, and my makeup applied really nicely like that as well. So it's probably better to apply this all over the face for an even application, but I did use this as a spot application and my foundation and makeup still looked really good."

"I actually love how this applied and how it felt. I don't think it's as gripping or as longwearing as say the e.l.f. gripping primer is, and I don't think that this is 24-hour wear. The finish of these looked really nice on my skin. It had that slight bit of glow, but I feel like a lot of primers and setting sprays kind of do that as well. I'm not saying these are bad products at all. I just don't think they're the most long-wearing primer and setting spray combo I've ever tried."
