What they flagged

  • Color leans red for some undertones

What the gurus are saying

This bronzer blends seamlessly into skin with a soft, natural-looking finish that doesn't look heavy or patchy. The main thing to keep in mind is the color leans quite red, so anyone who prefers more neutral undertones may want to swatch it first or explore other shades in the range. The formula itself earns real praise for how smoothly it applies and builds, making it forgiving even for those new to bronzer application.

"To contour the sides of my nose, I like to use a shade of bronzer that is slightly lighter than the Charlotte Tilbury one. This NYX one is great."

"It's really really nice for a drugstore price bronzer. I think it's beautiful, and the packaging is really beautiful packaging for a drugstore bronzer product. It feels a bit heavier, it's a nicer plastic, and it does give like a medium end kind of brand feel. I think it's actually really nice. I don't think it's overhyped. I think if you find the right shade for you in the bronzer, this is a beautiful product. I actually quite like it."

"Recently, I have bought the Buttermilk bronzer by NYX. All I do right, is I go like this, and I put it on my face."

"I normally go for more neutral bronzers, like this seems quite a bit more red tone than what I typically reach for, but with a small enough amount I think it works. One thing I am loving is how well this is blending into the skin like it truly looks so seamless all over the cheeks and along the forehead. It seems like it has a little bit of a healthy glow to it, nothing crazy, just a little bit. The color is like a little bit too red for my personal taste, but I don't think it looks bad. I do think this is a really nice formula. I can see why everyone's really loving it. It blends really nicely."

"I'm using the NYX Butter Melt Bronzer in the shade Butter Than You. [...] This is optional, but it really helps your features pop when you use a lighter concealer in the center of your face."
