"What it does do is it's a humectant. Holds water in the top layer of skin. It's got glycerin, another humectant. So that's why it's so hydrating. It's got niacinamide and they use acetyl hexapeptide. So that's for fine lines. Downside of this, you guessed it, fragrance. And so this could have been a nice niacinamide peptide moisturizer. Instead, this is not one that I would recommend for skin of color. In addition, the hydrate and plump is coming just from the humectants. So you find humectants really in a lot of moisturizers. All moisturizers in fact contain humectants. If you want additional humectant in your skin, then you would purchase a serum that was say a hyaluronic acid serum in order to get that additional benefit. But for me, this one unfortunately is a no."

"This one's really wonderful, it's got just a wonderful like jelly texture and a little bit of it goes a super long way. It feels really nice on the skin and it absorbs pretty quickly, so you can use it in your morning and or evening routine after cleansing and toning but before other moisturizers or if you're going to use like a water-based serum, like a vitamin C serum I would use that before this. It really does have like a jelly texture, I can't get enough of the stuff. My neck absolutely loves it, which my neck is pretty sensitive. It feels super nice on skin, I really love the texture, it's like Jell-O. Once it soaks in it does set to a radiant, natural finish that is on the tacky side, very tacky. If you're going to use a moisturizer over it or if you're using your morning routine use a sunscreen over it, not going to be a problem. But if you're going to just use it and you want to use this as your last product in your routine it's going to be sticky and you're going to have anytime wind blows your hair is going to stick to it. So you want to apply something over it because it is super tacky, but otherwise the texture and everything else is wonderful."
