What the gurus are saying

The gurus who tested it found a serum that brightens and tackles dark spots without the harshness many vitamin C products bring. What sets it apart is how it feels: it absorbs quickly, sits light and breathable on skin, and leaves no greasiness or stickiness behind. The panthenol soothes while supporting the skin barrier, and the blend of vitamin C types makes it gentle enough for acne-prone skin. Those with sensitive skin or dull complexion may find this particularly worth trying.

"Panthenol has a soothing anti-inflammatory benefit to it and it's also a barrier supportive ingredient. This has a really nice pleasing gel texture, kind of rides the line between a light gel and a medium gel. I've actually been really impressed with how this texture performs on the skin because the absorbency of this is really, really good. It's not the main goal of the serum to hydrate your skin; the main goal is to brighten your skin, and I'm very impressed with it. The way that it absorbs, it just absorbs so quickly into the skin and it feels very light once it is absorbed. It feels very breathable and there's no greasiness, there's no stickiness, there's no shine on top of your skin. Using this, I've noticed results for hyperpigmentation. I have some dark spots that were left over from when I got pimples that got inflamed and swollen on my skin, and absolutely worked for that. For dullness, absolutely worked for that. I think it actually helped a little bit with enlarged pores."

"In terms of performance this one feels super calming and hydrating on my skin which is really nice. It's unlike a lot of other vitamin C serums, a lot of vitamin C serums don't feel super calming or hydrate on your skin. They give you a glow, they help with hyperpigmentation, but they don't feel like super great on your skin. I do believe this helps brighten my skin a bit. My skin enjoys this one. It's a gentle vitamin C serum with several different types of vitamin C, so super friendly for all skin types including acne-prone skin. For antioxidants we've got lingonberry extract which is the first ingredient, it's an extract that's rich in antioxidants and it has significant skin calming properties and it's a good source of the beneficial mineral manganese. Then we've got alpha arbutin which is a good antioxidant also brightening, turmeric."
