"Even for me it felt like too much before makeup, I can't use this on a client. It has fermented ingredients, and some people react really badly to it. For me it was okay, so test it first, and if it feels okay you can go for it. If you already have it, use it more in winter at night. I would just use a lighter toner that has better hydration instead. The serum version absorbs a lot better and is a lot lighter."

"They do make me itchy, and this product is no exception. It made me itchy. The essential oil that they use here is rose geranium oil, and that's really the forward scent that you're getting. It's a very floral, rose-based type of smell, but it's just not [...] for me. I don't really particularly enjoy it. It doesn't feel very sophisticated or interesting to me at all, quite honestly."

"This was so hydrating. It was so brightening. It was so soothing in some ways as well. But I'll be honest, I dreaded using this. Absolutely dreaded it, because that smell just lingers. If I use it in the evening, I would get a headache. Like, it's such a strong smell. It's unfortunate. The added fragrance, which is geraniol and citronel, I don't enjoy. I don't like. My skin doesn't like it. I don't enjoy the smell. Yeah, it's very old fashioned. Unfortunately for this, the smell kind of lingers."

The reason I'm talking about it in the category of moisturizers is because I use it as a moisturizing step. This is just a beautiful hydration product. The texture of this is not as watery as a traditional essence or toner, it has a little bit of thickness to it, so you really feel it on the skin when you apply it and you're just like, ah, that feels so nice."
