What the gurus are saying

This oil cleanser divides reviewers sharply. Mad About Skin praises it as her holy grail for three to five years running, highlighting how it turns into a silky milk when you add water, rinses clean without residue, and the glutathione may help fade hyperpigmentation at the margins; she suggests letting it sit on skin for 60 seconds to maximize that benefit. However, one tester found it left a film, required a cloth to remove, and left skin feeling dry afterward, and noted the product lists fragrance ingredients like lavender oil despite calling itself fragrance-free.

"This has been my absolute holy grail cleanser for the past three years. It's a beautiful oil, great for facial massage, and it emulsifies into a beautiful milk when you add water and rinses away without a trace, so it's the nicest cleansing experience you'll ever have. The glutathione helps at the margins with hyperpigmentation, and the scent brings the spa into your home without a luxury price point. I use it when I need a heavy duty cleanse, like after wearing multiple layers of water resistant SPF or makeup. If you're looking for a cleansing oil that doesn't leave a film, this is the one."

Greatest KOREAN SKINCARE BRAND 2026 - This Hands Down Changed My Skin
"I've spoken about this so often on the channel. This is their glutathione facial spa cleanser. Very few of the numbers in products are fragranced. I think it's just the cleansers and maybe one serum that's actually fragranced. So they're a great line if you're looking for fragrance-free skincare, but this is one of the few fragrance products and it smells divine. Absolutely gorgeous. It's like a spa in a bottle. One of the best cleansers because it contains glutathione. So if you apply this to the skin, work it in for say 60 seconds, that glutathione is going to get into the skin and actually start working on your hyperpigmentation. This is a great one to really kickstart your hyperpigmentation routine in the right way. I absolutely love it."
KOREAN SKINCARE AWARDS 2025 - Very Best Korean Skincare
"This is the Numbuzin Glutathione Cica Facial Spa Cleanser. This is an oil cleanser and honestly the best I have ever ever tried. It's super affordable, which is one of the main reasons I gravitate towards Korean skincare brands. But it also really delivers. It'll remove water resistant SPF, makeup, dirt, debris, all gone like that. It feels luxurious. It feels spa-like. And that touch of glutathione really will help to fade hyperpigmentation in the long run. So, it's kind of one of those products that's just going to work for everyone. For me, I must be on bottle number 10 of this. This one's actually almost run out. So, I will be needing to purchase another one, but it's super inexpensive. It feels very luxurious, and the scent on this is to die for. Now, I know a lot of people don't like fragrance in their skincare, which is fine. I'm not someone that likes to overload my routine with fragrance, but I don't mind a little bit in a cleanser because it's not on the skin for a whole long time, 60 seconds max. And so, I don't think most people will have an issue with fragrance in a cleanser. If you do, this might not be the one for you. But for everyone out there that wants to kickstart their routine with a spa-like, elegant cleanser, this is just phenomenal."
KOREAN SKINCARE AWARDS 2025 - K-Skincare Of The Year 2025
"The Numbuzin Glutathione Cica Facial Spa Cleanser has been in the top 10 Korean skincare in 2023, 2024, and now in 2025. This has been a consistent favorite of mine throughout all three years and it's still going strong. I've not been without it for the past 3 years. It helps with hyperpigmentation. It's a cleanser, so it's not going to be as transformative as say a leave-on treatment like a serum, but it's a nice way of boosting your hyperpigmentation skincare results by incorporating glutathione in your cleansing step. It's beautifully uplifting and invigorating. It's like a spa in a bottle. This does have fragrance, so if you're somebody that likes to avoid fragrance, then this isn't going to be for you. But I think cleansers are a great place to have fragrance in a skincare routine. They're short contact. You leave them on the skin for 60 seconds and rinse them off."

"The Numbuzin glutathione C facial spa cleanser smells divine and is so good. I use it as a double cleanse in one when I want a quick cleanser that works really well."
KOREAN SKINCARE YOU CAN ACTUALLY TRUST - Life After The ANUA Azelaic Acid Scam
"This is still my favorite favorite oil cleanser. It smells like you're at the spa, it doesn't break the bank, and if you want something that brings the element of the sensorial, the spa-like into your routine at an affordable price point, there is nothing better than this. [...] My top tip is apply it to the skin, work it in, it turns into this beautiful oil, work it into the skin and then leave it on for 60 seconds, the glutathione in here is great for fading hyperpigmentation. [...] The fact it's been my number one favorite for the past four, five years speaks volumes."

"I bought the Numbuzin Glutathione C Facial Spa Cleanser Number Five because I saw somebody on Reddit rave about it. This is my third time trying it and I am not feeling this. The first two times I used it I needed a second cleanser, and I felt like it left a film behind. I am not a fan of the smell, it is very herbal. I am also not a fan of them calling this a fragrance free product when they list fragrance ingredients like lavender oil right below that, it is baffling. This reminds me a lot of the way the Drunk Elephant cleansing balm and the Glow Recipe cleansing balm felt on my skin, and I did not like any of those either. I cannot get this to emulsify the way I would like, I have to break out a cloth to get it off, and afterward my skin actually feels kind of dry. Me and Numbuzin, it has not been the best of experiences over the years."
