What the gurus are saying

The gurus split sharply on whether microcurrent actually delivers results. Those who back it say it firms skin and helps with facial tone, and praise the mini as lightweight and effective at a lower price point than the full-size model. However, several experts are skeptical that muscle stimulation addresses how faces actually age (fat loss and redistribution matter more), and one calls it a scam that duplicates what hands or a gua sha can do. Durability is a real concern: some report the device failing within a year, though others found it effective when it worked. The gel can be annoying to reapply, and the price point works only for those ready to invest.

"They also have the mini for $165, which is about $100 off, so that is a really great deal as well."

"She recommends the NuFace Mini as an alternative for those who find the Trinity out of their price range or who already own the Trinity and want something for on-the-go use. It has the same base microcurrent as the Trinity but does not include the 25% power boost. In the sale it is $165, down from $250. She considers it a good deal, just not as strong a value as the Trinity starter kit."

"The first device which I do not recommend is NuFace or any microcurrent device because it doesn't work. An electric gua sha that vibrates, what is it going to vibrate? That product just makes me angry because I think it's a scam. It's another way of getting people to pay more money for something that you can do with your hands. In fact, whatever you can do with a gua sha, you can also do with your fingers."

"I've always shared that I don't love the NuFace big one. I like the mini because it's more lightweight and I feel like it works just as well."

"If you've got the NuFace Mini and the NuFace Trio, those like I said are not my favorites. But if you already have them, wait for those suckers to break before you go and get something different. Wait for them to break because don't waste your money if you've already have something in the modality."

⚡️Microcurrent is a low-level electrical current that mimics the body's natural current
"The NuFace Mini stimulates muscle contractions and improves facial tone, and it's lymphatically draining so that will also help look a little bit more chiseled and it helps with wound healing. That's where I think I'm getting the most benefit from it. I still have this, I still use it, it's not my favorite though. When you look at how the face ages anatomically, muscle tone is not one of the top ways that a face ages because we're constantly moving our face. Your muscle tone in your face is not one of the top three ways that our face ages. It's that redistribution of fat. When we age we lose fat volume under the eyes, here on the temples, on the cheeks. It's this lack of fat that happens that then the anatomy sags, and we've got the jowly area right. So it's that loss of fat that is the most common."

"I got the old NuFace Mini, I got this maybe four or five years ago, and I did use it consistently, I don't know, three times a week maybe, but that was about 30 minutes in order to hit all of the areas that I wanted to hit."

"The NuFace Mini is my least favorite device. I didn't like the gel that came with it, which was my first impression. I had to keep rewetting my face, and it was sort of annoying. The second thing is it died after a year. I'm giving it a second chance, but I can't give you my full opinion on the NuFace Mini yet because I haven't tried the new one literally. It just arrived from my Sephora sale."

Microcurrent For Over 50 Hooded Eyes | One Year Results! / Before and After
"I enjoyed this I had no complaints about the NuFace Mini it gave me the results that I was looking for. In fact if it had lasted I might not have investigated another microcurrent device. So this is a great little device and I do recommend it. The only issue, and I've heard it from you guys too, is that it tends to die right when the warranty lets up."

"NuFace is one of the only skincare tools that I'm actually a really big fan of. A lot of dermatologists, estheticians, and chemists are a fan of it. It basically shocks your skin to help stimulate collagen production leading to healthier, more bouncy skin, and it's really effective. It's no joke. But definitely the price point isn't for everyone. I personally don't often see it on sale, so I just want to throw that out there. If you are wanting to invest a little bit more into your skincare experience, that is one of the few tools that I would recommend."
