"Sanskrit Saponins—I first used this along with the Flavonoid Mud when I think it was Wayne Goss who recommended it in one of his videos like four or three years ago. Sanskrit Saponins are so nice. It takes these principles from Ayurvedic medicine and they have these plant-based surfactants that help to cleanse the skin. I loved this in the past. I think that I have a little bit of a bias, which as humans we always do. Punjabi and Hindi are Sanskrit-derived languages, and so I just see those as so beautiful, so I have an affinity towards them. But taking that out, I want to try the product start to finish and try to remove those biases and see how the mud actually works on my face, because the tube that I had, I tried it and I loved it back then, but the formula changed since then."

"Sanskrit Saponins during the summer or for really congested skin can be a real skin saver. It is one of the more effective cleansers, but it really, really decongests as well, all without being too stripping in my experience. Like it actually feels like a gentle cleanser. I approached this cleanser the same way I would approach an intense treatment, so like a clay mask or something. So if I were to use this every single day, it would definitely dry out my skin or be just too strong for my skin. But also I'm not naturally oily or at least not acne prone right now, so it's not necessary. In fact, even Deciem, I believe, recommends to use it every other day at most. I'll take it out whenever I feel I just really need some decongesting. I use it as a second cleanser. So I use an oil-based cleanser to remove all the makeup, all the surface level impurities, and then I use this as a second cleanser to truly deep, deep clean the skin."
