"This is one from Neutrogena that I'm a big fan of for a few reasons. It's their Stubborn Acne Treatment with 2.5 percent micronized benzoyl peroxide. The micronized benzoyl peroxide is what helps us be less irritating, basically smaller particles of benzoyl peroxide get into the pore more efficiently and spread out on the surface of the skin more efficiently, so they're less likely to be as drying and irritating. They do help tackle closed comedones. [...] One thing you need to know about benzoyl peroxide is that in addition to being drying and irritating, the leave-on forms, [...] if they come in contact with fabrics [...] they will bleach them, so that's something to be careful about."

"If you don't want to use a benzoyl peroxide cleanser because a leave-on product just works better in your routine or with your lifestyle, I really like the Neutrogena Stubborn Acne Treatment. This is a cream that's meant to be left on the skin and it has 2.5 percent micronized benzoyl peroxide. The way I typically recommend using this is using some type of gentle cleanser first to wash your face or your body and then applying the thinnest layer of this cream to anywhere you tend to get acne breakouts."

"The Neutrogena Stubborn Acne Treatment is one of my favorite benzoyl peroxide products. This is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide product and what I love about it is that gentle amount of benzoyl peroxide is still enough to be completely effective but not such a high percentage that it increases your risk of irritation, so it's perfect for a leave-on product."
