What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the fragrance-free formula for its simplicity and hydrating properties, particularly as a counterbalance to drying actives like salicylic acid. The reformulated version attracts enthusiasm for its cleaner ingredient list, removal of titanium dioxide and mica, and inclusion of amino acids for skin repair and plumping. The serum is noted for a less shiny finish than earlier versions.

"The Neutrogena Hydro Boost serum is a little bit simple, but she uses the fragrance free version which I absolutely love. It's compensating for the drying side effects of the salicylic acid solution."

"The ingredients on the new one are much more exciting. I think the new version looks a little less shiny than the older version. The new version it looks like doesn't contain the titanium dioxide, the ultramarines or the mica, so I'm a big fan of that because I just don't like putting titanium dioxide and mica on my skin at night. The amino acids are great for your skin, they're the building blocks of your skin, so it really helps your skin stay plumped, and helps it repair things like that. Looking at the two ingredient lists, they are two different serums, very different serums."
