  • Lightweight, runny texture
  • Less irritating than other azelaic acids
  • Very affordable

What they flagged

  • 10% concentration is lower than studied doses
  • Results may take multiple bottles to appear

What the gurus are saying

This serum stands out for being gentler and less irritating than most other azelaic acid treatments. The main caveat is its 10% concentration, which is lower than the 15 to 20 percent used in research studies, so results often take several bottles rather than one. At around $11 the price is hard to beat, though it's not a quick fix.

"I will never be without my AIC acid. AIC acid is a great one to pair alongside peptides and growth factors, it calms, it soothes, it's just a wonderful ingredient. This is the one by Ness, this is their 10% AIC acid serum, and it also has snail mucin in here, so if you like a dose of that snail mucin and AIC acid in one, this is a great great option. I absolutely love this and it just plumps to perfection."

ULTIMATE KOREAN SKINCARE ROUTINE - Korean Skincare Awards (My Favourites)
"This is the Ness A-Control 10% Azelaic Acid Serum, a great 10% azelaic acid that I use every single day to keep my adult acne in check. Azelaic acid has some benefits that can minimize acne-causing bacteria, it also calms and soothes and will even out the skin tone. So azelaic acid I think is an essential for everyone on a morning, on an evening, it's just a great ingredient to have in your skincare routine. I'm enjoying the texture of this, it's very lightweight, it doesn't cling to the skin too much. If you've tried other azelaic acids and find them a little bit sticky or tacky, this is a really nice one because you don't have any of those problems."
MUST HAVE KOREAN SKINCARE - K-Skincare Everyone Should Own
"I really do like this azelaic acid because it's less prickly and sensitizing than some others. It's got some calming and soothing ingredients alongside it, so if you're someone that uses azelaic acid and thinks 'ooh, it's a bit prickly, bit tingly, not for me,' try this one. I think it's a really really nice option."

ULTIMATE KOREAN SKINCARE - Top 3 Korean Skincare Serums 2024
"This is a new discovery for me this year and one that honestly has blown me away. This product kind of proves that just because something has a similar concentration to another product doesn't mean it's going to perform exactly the same. Concentration is one component but formulation really does play a part. This azelaic acid in a 10% has worked so much better than any other 10% azelaic acid I have ever tried. I think it's because in here you've also got some other great ingredients: you've got snail mucin, you've got niacinamide, lots of calming and soothing ingredients. If you're using azelaic acid to calm, to soothe, and to reduce breakouts and acne, this is the best on the market. I fell in love with it from first use because it is silky smooth. There's no graininess to it like you can get with some azelaic acids, and it just has the nicest consistency. Because it contains some of that snail mucin, this is a little bit thicker than your average serum, and I personally enjoy that. It just drinks into the skin, it'll give you a boost of hydration and glow, and all that benefit of that good azelaic acid concentration. For me this is a phenomenal option."
KOREAN SKINCARE THAT ACTUALLY WORKS - *Not Sponsored*
"For using azelaic acid to minimize breakouts, I think this is the best 10% azelaic acid. It's that key ingredient minimizing acne-causing bacteria, redness, and the inflammation that's associated with those breakouts. But you also have in here panthenol, you've got some nice niacinamide which is great for oil control, and you've got lots of other ingredients which are going to reduce the risk of those breakouts and take down some of the redness from them. I absolutely love this serum. It's a great one that I always have on hand for those moments where I'm breaking out. When I do get that breakout, this is the first product I reach for, slap on my skin, and it has an instant result. Use this consistently morning and evening and you'll notice that those breakouts are just diminished, they're less red, they're less angry, and you definitely get far fewer of them. If you're using azelaic acid to reduce breakouts, this one by Ness, the Korean skincare brand, is honestly one of the best."

"I really do like azelaic acid as a very gentle treatment for my acne, it has antibacterial properties, anti-inflammatory properties, and it may even be helpful for hormonal acne. But the catch is the research is conducted at 15 to 20 percent and this is only 10 percent, and you often don't see results after just one bottle, it took me a while to get on board with azelaic acid in general. As for this particular serum, I don't know if I would recommend it. Looking at the ingredients and feeling the texture, it was a lot runnier than I thought it would be. I can see why it has mixed feedback, some people love it, others said it didn't work as well as the one from COSRX, but I can only know if I try it for myself."

New Skincare Products Drops First Impressions
"It's got azelaic acid in here, what else, niacinamide, panthenol, centella snail mucin which I love, green tea and then a peptide and then asiaticoside, yeah, and then a little bit of bergamot leaf extract. I've been testing this now for I think five days and I'm really impressed with it. It's got a really nice lightweight texture to it and it's still pretty hydrating with that snail mucin and panthenol in there, so really impressed with it so far. I just love azelaic acid in skincare, and so far this product was super affordable as well. I think it was like twelve or thirteen dollars. So far so good, and it stands out on my counter. There's not a lot of bright green or forest green packaging in skincare products, so when I'm looking for this on my mess of a countertop I find it instantly. That's nice."
11 Affordable K-Beauty Viral Skincare Products Hits That Everyone Should Try Once!
"This one's great for oily acne sensitive and dry skin types and here we've got obviously 10% azelaic acid we've got centella we've got panthenol we've got snail mucin it's got all my favorite ingredients wrapped up into one serum and for 11 bucks it doesn't get better than that. If you haven't tried azelaic acid you are missing out on something huge because it has helped my skin in so many ways it was mind blowing when I tried it at first the difference it made. I started out with the Geek and Gorgeous apad serum and the difference I've made was absolutely had people ask what did you change what did you change like a lot of people."
Skincare Brands You Haven’t Heard of That Will Be Big in 2024
"The one thing it does have is bergamot leaf extract, which is different than bergamot oil, which is sensitizing. Bergamot leaf extract, I'm not exactly sure it may have some benefits for skin, but I just thought that's worth pointing out because some people are not big fans of bergamot extract or bergamot oil. Although the oil is not in there. I think it's a brand to watch for, especially since it's affordable, and a lot of brands nowadays are really raising their prices like crazy."

"The Ness A-Control, it's got azelaic acid as well as snail mucin which are two of my absolute favorite ingredients so it's really nice as an azelaic acid redness correcting hydrating serum and it's got those good ingredients in there which are all wonderful for skin types."
My Current Favorite K-Beauty Serums - Fragrance Free and Affordable!
"What I absolutely love about this, it's got three of my favorite ingredients in it and it's super affordable, I think it's about 15 bucks. So it's got 10% azelaic acid, it's got snail mucin, and it's got centella. Does it get better than that? It's a trifecta. If it had some more peptides in there it might, but anyway, it's amazing. If you haven't tried azelaic acid, I highly recommend checking this one out."
