What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise this wash for being genuinely gentle on sensitive skin and non-drying, with some loving the eucalyptus scent for a spa-like feel. The main split: those with eczema, psoriasis, or sensitive skin find it excellent, but people seeking fragrance, foam, or a sensory experience in the shower may find it underwhelming. Worth noting that the unscented version contains lemon extract, so it's not fragrance-free, which matters for anyone avoiding all fragrance ingredients.

"I love my ones from Necessaire that have that beautiful eucalyptus spa-like scent. I will just wash my whole body with it."

"I really like the Necessaire body wash because for the sensitive skin person it's great. That's like that's the thing they're looking for because body soaps can really mess up the skin otherwise."

"This one is really nice and non-drying and a little bit of sudsy, which is nice. I've repurchased it. I will say this is unscented but it does have lemon extract in it, which is a fragrance ingredient but it's not like lemon oil. So there's a difference between unscented and fragrance free. This would be unscented but not fragrance free because of that lemon extract."

"It feels nice on the skin. It is joyless. My shower feels sterile when I use this. This will be great for people with Eczema, Psoriasis, all that kind of stuff. For me, as somebody whose biggest body concern is the KP on my arms, for example, this brings me no joy whatsoever. There is no scent. There's a little bit of foaming. I feel like I've used water to wash, which is a thing, but I feel like I've had no help. When I shower, I like to feel invigorated cleansed. I like some scent to make me feel like I'm doing some good for my body. I like to feel like I've had a whole cleansing experience. And this product lacks anything, any experience whatsoever. It's completely joyless. After you use it, you feel nice and your skin feels nice. But I'm like, was that it? Even some fragrance free products have a smell. Some of the Naturian ones, I swear are fragrance free, but they have this smell to them that make me feel like I'm using a product. There's just something about this I'm like that was so dull. That was the most boring shower I've ever had."

"This is the Necessaire Body Wash. I have a brand new bottle and it's the eucalyptus scent. I'm one of those people where if I'm going to use a body wash and I also have an exfoliator in my shower and there's a set, I'll buy the set. It's not that I love this body wash. I think this is a fine body wash, it's a very nice body wash. But I just happen to be using the eucalyptus-scented exfoliator, so it just makes sense to me to get the matching set."
