What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise the lotion's clean formula, non-sticky texture, and versatility for face and body use. The main split centers on absorption and thickness: most find it absorbs well and feel satisfied, while some note it requires extra rubbing to fully absorb and wish it were thicker. Value is a recurring concern, with reviewers noting premium pricing relative to drugstore alternatives that perform similarly.

"The Necessaire Body Lotion is wonderful. It's fragrance free and it's got peptides in it, vitamin E, panthenol. It's really nice. The bottle's big enough where you could use it on certain areas of your face as well that get dry, and sometimes I use it on my eyelids too which get dry sometimes. It's thick. This is something you want to use right after you get out of the shower, right when you get out of the shower, to moisturize your body."

April Skincare & Beauty Product Empties - What I've Finished This Month
"The Necessaire Body Lotion, I really enjoyed this stuff, it was really nice. I don't know if I'd pay full price, I think I got this in a beauty box or something like that. This stuff was very nice. I like the fact that they have unscented options, which made it really nice. Very thick and creamy."

"The Necessaire Body Lotion is fragrance-free, just a really good classic body lotion that sinks into the skin, doesn't feel sticky, and just does the job. It's really nice."

"If you want more of a straight up body moisturizer with no active ingredients, I also really like the Necessaire Body Lotion. This is a really mid-weight easy to apply body lotion that I think works great in a lot of different routines and with a lot of different skin types."

"I liked this, I didn't love this, and I didn't love this because it's not as thick as I like a body product to be. I do know they have the body cream they did not send that to me, and I may pick that up and try it. So I do think these together were absolutely gorgeous, but I suspect this and the body cream I would like even more."

"This is a nice silky lotion with a really pleasing feel between your fingers, but it actually doesn't absorb very quickly into the body. It does leave quite a bit of streaks, and you really have to work it in to get it to absorb. Even when you towel dry your skin after a shower or bath, it's still not soaking in without really rubbing and rubbing it in. I just don't have to do that with CeraVe and Cetaphil, which I get a lot more product for a lot less money. It's fussy, and I just don't feel like I want to use this."
