    What the gurus are saying

This retinaldehyde serum earns consistent praise for being gentle enough for sensitive areas like the neck while still delivering real retinoid benefits, thanks to its encapsulated formula that buffers irritation. The two-strength lineup (0.05% and 0.10%) lets skin adapt gradually, and at around $32 for 1.7 ounces, reviewers highlight the value as exceptional for a stabilized retinoid at this potency. Those who can't tolerate prescription tretinoin have found this a reliable alternative.

"These are two of my favorite retinaldehyde serums, and these come in a few different strengths. This one is from Nurium. It's their retinaldehyde cream serum, 0.10%. There's also a 0.05% in this."

Skincare Hits + Misses! NEW Skincare I've Been Trying...
"This is the Naturium Retinaldehyde Cream Serum, it's 0.1% retinaldehyde. I think they're doing as much as retinol would have done for my neck over the last six years since I haven't been able to use it. I think they definitely are doing something and so I do continue to use them. I don't really see a difference in my mind between these two because these are products that tell me the percentage of the active ingredient in there and that's what's important to me."

"The naturium retinaldehyde cream serum, this is a 0.1 percent retinaldehyde is the strongest retinoid that you can get over the counter. So prescription retinoids are what I use on my face but my neck is too sensitive to use tretinoin there so I use retinaldehyde and I really really like this. This is 32 dollars for 1.7 ounces so it is a really really great price point on this and it does contain a peptide as well that is supposed to help with smoothing texture on the surface of the skin."

"Since my neck is so sensitive, I use an over-the-counter retinaldehyde on my neck. [...] I kind of have just been using both interchangeably. This is the Nurium Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10%."

"The Naturium retinaldehyde cream serum 0.10 is one of two retinaldehyde products that are my favorites. This one [...] comes in two different strengths. [...] These are the serums that I use on my neck because I can't use my tretinoin on my neck and while my neck isn't really keeping up with my face as far as my wrinkles are doing I would still say you could get some benefit out of using a retinaldehyde like this one."

"Brands like Nurium make this super easy because they have two strengths. You start with the lowest one, use a couple of tubes of that, then graduate onto the higher strength one. This way, it'll allow your skin to adapt, maximizing the results, minimizing the side effects and irritation. [...] These are actually encapsulated retinoids. So they use an encapsulation to further minimize the risk of side effects and irritation."
    ✓Yay
"If I was in the US I would be using Naturium. You have a retinaldehyde serum cream and they actually have two different strengths depending on where you are, 0.05 or 0.1. For me I'd be going for the 0.1, just making sure that you build it into a routine very slowly. This is the one I would be using if I was in the US."
