What the gurus are saying

These balms stay put far longer than most glosses, with a consistency that feels balanced and doesn't shift throughout the day, though the formula reads more as a heavy gloss than a traditional balm. The doe-foot applicator earns consistent praise for picking up the right amount of product in one swipe. One thing to keep in mind: the vanilla flavor and slight stickiness on first application put some off, so patch-testing makes sense if you prefer unfragranced products or lighter textures.

"Super neutral. I think it could actually go over a lot of my lipsticks just for a touch of color. That's hard to get out. Also very sheer."

"Contains natural vanilla flavor, nourishing and hydrate lips for $12. I love the original formula anyway, so if it's the same deal, I'm going to really like these. And I do like it has a bit of a shine to it. I love this applicator. I love that little dip. That dip in the applicator means that it's going to pick up a little bit more product. Some product is going to sit within that dip and you're not going to have to go backwards and forwards, reapplying it. I really do like the shade range."

"I picked up the Naturium Phyto Glow Lip Balm. It's actually not a lip balm, I don't know why it's called that, it's a gloss, but it's kind of a heavy hitting gloss. Straight off the bat I didn't like it. I just found it really sticky and I just didn't dig it. I did like the color, which I'm wearing right now, it's called Jam, but that was about it. But then over time I found myself reaching for this more and more, and I came to realize it actually has better staying power than any of the other glosses I own. I also really love the little doe foot applicator, it's just perfect."

"What I like about these as well is they don't shift. They don't shift at all. They stay in place. They're the right consistency as well. They're not too light, they're not too thick. They transfer a little bit like any lip balm does, but more of the balminess and not the tint. I feel like I get my money's worth more with the Naturium Phyto-Lip Balms just because they stick around for a lot longer."

"The Naturium are vanilla fragranced and they have a slight vanilla taste, which isn't actually to my taste, but I know a lot of people love it."

"My Phyto-Glow Lip Balm from Naturium, which this is like I don't know, my 50th jar of it cuz it's so good."
