"It's ideal for those that are oily, combination, or even acne prone. It's lovely, fast absorbing, and not sticky. What it's made out of is this seed which is basically a seed that really helps to hydrate the skin and forms kind of this protective film of water on top of the skin. That is how it's really able to keep the skin moisture barrier supported and protected. So this is a really lovely moisturizer that really helps to hydrate and plump the skin without any heaviness or greasiness. Really great for oily combination skin to use all year round. If you have dry skin, I highly recommend using this in the summertime as your morning moisturizer. The other thing I really love about this moisturizer is that it also contains anti-inflammatory ingredients. The seed also has some of those properties. It also has other wonderful ingredients that I love including THD ascorbate, vitamin C, glycerin, and vitamin E. Just all around a great moisturizer to use. You can even use it after, [...] if you have irritated skin or some burnt skin, you can kind of use this to potentially calm your skin because that gel cream is very calming, soothing, and cooling. With those ingredients it definitely has some anti-inflammatory properties. So just a great moisturizer, lovely, elegant, lightweight. Highly recommend for oily, combination, and acne prone skin."

"I'm using the Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Gel by Naturie, this is a really lightweight hydrating gel. It's beneficial in that it's going to replenish any moisture I lost from washing my face, and it's going to help keep the skin barrier protected and hydrated to minimize any potential drying side effects from the sulfur mask."
*Vlog* SKINCARE THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE @DrDrayzday
"I've been testing out this Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Gel, a Japanese gel moisturizer. I like it, but I do think I prefer my Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer and my Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream extra dry, just from a consistency and effect perspective, but this is not bad. It hydrates and gives a little bit of glowy bounce to the skin."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
