  • Blends seamlessly into skin
  • Full coverage that builds without caking
  • Lightweight formula, good for acne-prone skin

What they flagged

  • Can look matte rather than radiant
  • Some shades skew too orange

What the gurus are saying

This concealer earns consistent praise for its lightweight texture and buildable coverage, blending seamlessly from sheer to full depending on how much you apply, and performing well throughout the day without creasing on properly prepped skin. The shade range draws particular approval, and gurus note it works especially well for acne-prone skin and as a color corrector under the eyes. One notable split: while most gurus love it, one found the radiance in the name overstated, and another flagged that the undertone skews slightly orange, so shade-matching matters here. Those with very dry under-eyes may want to ensure they moisturise first to avoid any caking.

"I'm using Nars creamy concealer in the shade nougatine as my color corrector. It has a really beautiful orangey golden color to it, which really helps to warm up the darkness underneath my eyes so I can go on top of it with a brighter concealer and cancel out the gray tones."

"Doesn't look too bad especially as far as value goes it's like pretty close to the value of my skin it does have a little too much orange in it"

"I'm glad that I finally get to actually use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is the light yellow one that I swatched in my concealer video. I've been using this as a color corrector underneath my eyes, and it's been working so well for my skin tone. It's a pretty good concealer, I wasn't in love with it, but it's actually pretty decent, and it's very, very light, so it works really nicely for this brightening look. [...] I've received some comments from people who said that they have more mature skin and they don't like it, but I've heard from a lot of people who have mature skin who love it, so I don't know, it sucks, I wish that everything just worked for everyone."

"I use my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Nougatine as my color corrector, so I pretty much only use this around my dark circles, but I like to use it to mix with my other concealers to do spot concealing."

"I'm using my NARS concealer in the shade nougatine, which is technically just a concealer, but I use it as a color corrector specifically because it has this yellowy peachy tone to it. It's not too dark for my skin tone. I am quite pale, and [...] a lot of color correctors are orange, peach, or red, which is great for deeper skin tones, but even peach can be a little too much for me and I just don't really need it."

"I'm going to mix it with a little bit of this NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, mostly for color. It can be a heavy duty one, but if used well, like over blemishes, you can honestly use this without the tinted moisturizer and it blends really nicely into the skin and it gives really good coverage. It's a full coverage concealer."

Easy Everyday Fall Makeup Tutorial 🍂
"Next, I'm going to go in with a NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I figured since I was using the NARS foundation, we might as well go into a classic [...] concealer. It's been around for years for a reason. I'm using the shade vanilla, and I'm going to apply this down the center of the face. I also like to bring this concealer, especially after bronzer or contour, down the sides of the nose just for a little more of a sculpted look, and also underneath the jawline to further sculpt out that bronzer."
The Perfect Holiday Makeup Tutorial
"I'm going to use the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Vanilla, and I'm going to take this underneath the eye as well as along the sides of the nose to kind of reverse sculpt the nose, and then underneath my contour right here, a little on my chin to highlight, and we'll do a tiny bit on the forehead. I've noticed when I use a little less concealer on the forehead it just wears better throughout the day, so I've been trying to do a little bit of a lighter amount, and then I'm going to blend that out with my brush. Once I use my brush to blend out the majority of the concealer, I always like to go back in with my sponge just to make sure the finish is really seamless."
A Timeless Makeup Tutorial: Never Go Out of Style ❤️
"The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is very timeless. It's a very classic formula that I feel like will never go out of style. The amount of concealer matters as well, so I'm mindful of how much I'm applying, focusing on the areas that I actually have darkness. I use a brush to buff this out all over the skin, taking concealer all over the eyelid to cancel out any redness there, and then I go back in with my sponge just to press that into the skin to make sure it looks as seamless and skin-like as possible."

My #1 EVERYDAY Makeup RIGHT NOW 😍
"The Nars one, shade apagado, is what I've been using. I do concealer under the eyes mostly, sometimes on the chin, and a little bit underneath to add more coverage along the jawline. I'll do just a teeny bit on the forehead. I don't always do all these areas, sometimes I just do the under eyes, but it works really well for me."

LET'S TRY THE READERS' CHOICE 2024 WINNERS 😱
"The best concealer award went to the classic NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, which I swear has also won in the past. This is such a good one though, and it's just such a reliable formula. At the end of the day, it's crazy because new things launch all the time, but there are some classics that just stand the test of time, and this is one of them. Typically less is more with this, and I really need to get my correct shade. I need to go in person for it though, because I feel like the shades are a little bit interesting, they're almost opposite. The one that says 030 Fair Cool is actually warm toned, and then this one says warm and it's actually cool toned, so it kind of confuses me when choosing a shade."
Nikki La Rose Does My Makeup!!! 😱
"I'm going to use the shade Honey from NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is the shade my jam for all my fair clients if I want a color correct look up but not use an actual orange or peach or pink color corrector. I just go for a very peachy concealer and it works really really well."

"Now here's the NARS. Look how nice this made my under eye look. [...] This goes without saying that this round goes to NARS because NARS just has a more vast shade range. [...] On Amazon they have a lot fewer concealer shades, but on their website they have 19 shades. Dark three deep is the deepest shade, and then up from that was deep to tan. [...] Definitely NARS wins this round."

"Everyone always asks what I think about this NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, and I obviously have it and have used it before, but I can never really give an opinion. I don't think it was really a standout concealer to me. It is very creamy and blends actually really beautifully into the skin. [...] It's a little bit drier than I thought it would have been. And it says radiant, right? In terms of it being radiant, I am a little bit like, where? Where's that radiance? Radiance is lacking. [...] It's almost like matte in my eyes. Does that look radiant to you? That doesn't look radiant to me."

"Another concealer that's all-around great, not only for the under eyes but also for camouflaging broken blood vessels around the nose or acne and post-acne marks, is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I love this one. It's really hydrating, and I also use it on my under eye. It doesn't crack or cake up readily and works really well for pimples or post-acne marks. When you match the color correctly to your tone, you don't need multiple different shades. Some people use a lighter shade for their dark circles and a different shade for their pimples, but this one I just use one color: custard. It works really well for my under eyes as well as everything else on my face to correct my complexion. Ingredient-wise, it contains a botanical blend derived from berries, like different plants and fruits, along with vitamin E. It helps to hydrate, and I think that's why it leaves such a nice elegant finish. So I highly recommend it if you're looking for an all-around great concealer to use on the face."

"It really works so well, performs amazing, and lasts all day long. Unless you've used way too much of it, it's not going to crease, and if you have really dry under eyes that you haven't properly prepped with moisture, that's going to crease and look cakey, but that's with any formula. This is like my no-fail go-to. [...] It's a very flexible formula where you can get so much variety of finishes with it. You can build it to be like super full coverage [...] or you could just do a touch of it and blend it out and it's really, really natural. You can use it for [...] no-makeup makeup looks which look beautiful and [...] almost undetectable if you use a small amount. The versatility you get with it is just really unmatched. I [...] would give it 10 stars. [...] It's one of the [...] products that I would probably give the highest rating to, and it's been one of my longest holy grails ever."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Sunscreen filters

Sun protection is the best evidenced way to slow visible ageing, and the filters are what does the work. Mineral and chemical filters both protect when a product is applied thickly enough and often enough, which is where most people fall short rather than on the choice of filter.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
