What the gurus are saying

This foundation earns consistent praise for its skin-like, non-cakey finish and lightweight blendability, even at full coverage. Most gurus found it holds up well throughout the day and requires only a small amount to cover effectively, though the longwear claim stretched beyond what some observed in practice. The main split: a few gurus experienced breakouts or found the shade range too limited for their skin tone, and one noted it can oxidize and look tired on certain complexions, so patch testing first may help those with sensitive or deeper skin tones.

"The final thing that I would say you can skip is the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, and the only reason I'm saying this, I loved the finish. I thought it was beautiful. It's like a satin matte full coverage, gorgeous. I don't have the proper colors, but it makes me break out. Not horribly, not like with rashes or anything like that, but it just suffocates my skin, and any tiny little breakout I might have is going to be ten times as big when I wash this off at the end of the day. So I avoid the heavier coverage foundations, unfortunately. I really did think it was beautiful, but personally, because of that experience, and I've heard from some of you that you also had that experience, I would skip it. But if you don't have sensitive skin or you're not congestion prone, it's gorgeous and you should absolutely pick it up. If you've been curious about it, yeah, it's really beautiful."

"It doesn't look matte, doesn't look dry and cakey. I need it to look like skin, and when I look at this, this looks like skin. It does seem to hold up better throughout the day. It doesn't last 16 hours like they say, but it lasts longer than anything else I've tried. While they do say it's full coverage, it doesn't feel like that. I can make this lightweight and it just blends beautifully. It covers up the redness, I can still see my age spots, so I'm not going overboard. It just never looks heavy or cakey. Even at full price, which I think is around 50 or 55, it is worth every freaking penny."

"A little bit of my NARS foundation. Now, it's going to be subtle, but I promise it does make a difference."

"A little bit of Nars Foundation. Now, it's going to be subtle, but I promise it does make a difference. So if you highlight the corners of the mouth, it gives you more of that natural, youthful upturn. You want to eliminate the shadow that happens as we get older."
Cheap VS Expensive Makeup! Whats Better? DrugStore Vs High-end
"On our expensive side, we're going in with NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. That's really light. I thought it was going to be really dark for me, but that's fine. Straight up, you don't have to use that much of this. It blended across my whole face very quickly and with good coverage, with a small amount of product. I really haven't used that much, and this is still one go, so it's definitely not the kind of foundation you're going to want to squeeze all over your face. That was full coverage quite quickly. Looking at both sides, there's not much difference, but my foundations I kind of have to judge them once they've sat on the skin for a little while."

Fake Makeup Artists, Fake Results! | This Foundation Brand Is Lying to You!
"NARS is a big disappointment for me. It has a very limited shade range, personally I'd need something in between two shades. Also, instead of smoothing the skin, it sits on top, oxidizes, and makes the complexion look tired and older."

"This is the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. This foundation is fabulous. I haven't been wearing foundation that much lately, so I thought I'd go for it. We're going to do a really perfected base, hence the foundation, that's a perfect match for me, and we're going to keep the skin really nice and glowy. I'm just buffing that in with my 117 brush."

"My go-to brand for complexion products at the moment is NARS. I recently got the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, which I'm still trying, but I really like it so far. Their things just work for me."
