"If you're looking for a retinol that's a little more lightweight, I am a huge fan of the Narium Retinol Complex Cream. This cream almost feels more like a thick serum on the skin and in addition to retinol it also has an ingredient called bakuchiol. Some brands will refer to bakuchiol as a plant derived retinol but really it's a molecule that can mimic some of the positive skin effects that retinol offers. It's much less studied than something like retinol or tretinoin for example but there still is good evidence that it can be efficacious for the skin when it comes to anti-aging. This product also has some other really great skin barrier support ingredients that are going to help you tolerate the retinol better, for example it has things like dimethicone and shea butter. It also has glycerin and squalane and sunflower seed oil, which is one of my favorite plant oils to support the skin."

"My all-time favorite for the face is the Narium Retinol Complex Cream with encapsulated retinol, really nice emollient in it. This is my one-and-only retinoid when I am so tired. I double cleanse my face, put this on, and I go to bed. That's why I love it, it's amazing. I wake up with glowy skin every single time, and it's great for any skin type. You don't have to be a pro at retinoids. It can be your first time using a retinoid and that one's great. I've gone through a couple of these, and I really back it up to very gentle retinoids because my skin is really sensitive to retinoids."
