"Radio frequency micro needling is not a bad technology. It's just very operator dependent. Although I would happily have superficial radio frequency micro needling done on me to keep my pores tight, to keep my skin glowy, I would not have deep radio frequency micro needling. The problem with a lot of these RF micro needling devices is they are found in med spas with very little supervision. There are a lot of people operating them that don't know how to pick the appropriate settings to achieve the aesthetic outcome that their patients want or they've promised their patient an aesthetic outcome that this type of device really can't achieve, namely significant skin tightening."

"If you have darker skin colors, this may be the best treatment for non-invasive skin tightening for you because some of the other treatments can cause issues with pigmentation problems in people with darker skin. In my opinion, the gold standard for non-invasive skin tightening today is radio frequency micro needling, otherwise known as Morpheus8. During this treatment, you undergo micro needling where tiny needles are used to puncture the skin to a certain depth, but these needles are insulated all the way up to the tip of the needle, which emits radio frequency energy or heat. RF micro needling like Morpheus8 heats the deep skin by using radio frequency energy. With RF micro needling, essentially you're getting a twofer: the micro needling creates tiny punctures in the skin that can cause the collagen to tighten up and for the skin to be smoother and tighter overall, and the radio frequency heating of the deep skin can cause that skin also to tighten up in its own way. In my office, we do a lot of Morpheus treatments and we follow it up with application of exosomes on top of the skin, and we found that by applying exosomes you can reduce the redness afterwards, and some people find that within 24 hours their skin looks and feels almost back to normal."

"I'm not a big fan. And there's two reasons why. It has an insulated needle and it holds that heat. And it doesn't have a pulse wave. So it has a continuous wave. So that just means the energy is going this way and it's not going like this. I think those two factors, it's like a 50/50 with Morpheus, right? "Combining radio frequency with microneedling is much more effective at stimulating collagen production than microneedling alone. Microneedling induces tiny microtraumas in our skin which cause our body to go into a natural healing response which brings in skin firming proteins. Microneedling alone does help with fine lines, wrinkles, scars and stretch marks, but adding radio frequency gives it the ability to go deeper into the skin which helps to better firm and tone the skin. The Morpheus device for the face goes down to 4 mm, which is where something called the SMAS network is, and that is basically contouring some of that fat and fibrous tissue in order to really tighten the skin. This is where you can target deep acne scarring and remodel some of that adipose fat tissue. Then at 3 mm, 2 mm, 1 mm and half a millimeter, this is where you can address fine lines and dullness."

"Microneedling with radio frequency you can expect to firm, plump, tone the skin in addition to improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, other types of scarring, stretch marks, and improve the overall texture of the skin. The InMode one with the Morpheus is pretty robust because of the bipolar technology, which means that it keeps the heat kind of circular inside the device, and that's a little bit more scientific versus a monopolar. The bipolar is nice because you can go higher heat, higher energy, so more output without that tissue damage. The Morpheus device goes 4 mm in depth with the face handpiece, and that's really nice because that's where the fibroseptal network is where we can remodel that adipose fat tissue. So for people that want to come in get a snatched jawline, that's not going to work if I have a device that only goes 2 mm. For the body handpiece they have that goes 7 mm. They have a burst mode where it's like 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to create that column of heat. RF with microneedling can offer benefits for most people. It's generally considered safe for all skin types."

"It's a machine that does all this fun stuff, tightens your skin, makes you look amazing. You have to get it three times. It is hands down the most painful thing I've ever done. I literally bawled my eyes out, hated the whole experience. My other friends that have gotten it, they look stunning, amazing, their skin looks so tight. They also got laughing gas when they got it, so they said the pain wasn't that bad. I was only numbed, literally I was bawling my eyes out. I had to actually stop, I couldn't finish. The worst part is that for some reason my skin reacted in a strange way. You can see all of this texture on my forehead. You can see where the machine went in all over my neck. It's been three months and I don't think it's going away anytime soon. I would just say test your skin, do like a mini test, because this has been part of the reason I don't post on TikTok anymore because I look like I have goosebumps on my face. Pain is a very subjective thing, however there are certain places that I feel like don't numb enough or don't numb appropriately. If they're not using a numbing agent that is strong enough, or they're only using it for ten, twenty minutes, that is not enough in order to numb for this type of procedure."

"With Morpheus, what you want to do is contract the skin. I find it's really useful for tightening loose skin and giving a bit more of a firmer look, and also reducing the amount of jowl fat that you have. It's not going to lift the face, but it tightens and the skin quality always looks better when you've had it done. I consider Morpheus to be almost like a superficial tightening, skin texture improvement.
