What the gurus are saying

Gurus are split on this product. One dermatologist flags it as highly comedogenic and warns against it for oily, acne-prone skin, citing high fragrance content and minimal active benefits. Another reviewer praises its lightweight formula and ability to cut through heavy makeup and sunscreen with minimal product, highlighting hydrating fermented ingredients and antioxidants. The divide hinges on skin type compatibility and tolerance for fragrance.

"It is highly comedogenic, it is something that you do not want to use if you have oily acne prone skin, avoid this product. The seventh ingredient in here is fragrance. That's really high up. That means that there's really nothing beneficial more than 1% and fragrance is not good for us. With this there's no benefits and it's all downside. So even though it's super viral and it looks cool and it's very affordable, it's something I would tell you to stay clear of."

"Fermented Soybean and Barley ensure that your skin stays moisturized and hydrated, even after putting this on and splashing away with water. Tocopherol is in here as well, which is a great antioxidant. There's Soybean Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil. So you do really get that good kind of oily cleanse. Layers of makeup, layers of sunscreen, applied constantly throughout the day. This cuts right through in this really lightweight, non-suffocating kind of way. You don't need that much. You absolutely do not need much, two pumps is more than enough. If your skin is dehydrated and you're sick of Hyaluronic Acid, you will want to try this one."
