What the gurus are saying

Oat extract makes this anti-inflammatory moisturizer stand out for calming rosacea and dry skin. Dermatologists praise the emollient texture and glossy slip from squalane, calling it solid and affordable but not transformative or a personal favorite. It reliably does the job without dramatically changing skin appearance, so while dermatologists would use it, repurchasing isn't certain.

"This is an anti-inflammatory moisturizer and it's really good for rosacea or dry skin. It's got squalan oil, which is a beautiful ingredient, and then it's got glycerin so your water magnet. It's slightly thicker than the ceramide cream. This one is Dr V approved."

"I really like the texture of it. Waking up this morning my face after wearing this overnight felt moisturized and hydrated. It seems like it's going to be a good moisturizer. It has oat in it which is great, it also has shea butter, a very popular ingredient, a variety of amino acids which are good for the moisture barrier, and it has a really nice emulsion in my opinion."

"Oat extract anti-inflammatory soothing fragrance free. It has a nice texture to it. It's more emollient, it's got that kind of glossy slip to it. It has squalane which is an ingredient I have come to love. I just find that it really imparts a glossiness to the texture."

Skincare WE NEED TO DISCUSS | September Mini-Review
"It has polyglutamic acid, which is a very hydrating ingredient but it almost has this cloaking effect on the skin to improve skin elasticity, and this has shea butter which is a great moisturizing ingredient. It's free of fragrance. I like this, it's pretty good, it gets the job done. I took it with me on my recent trip to the Los Angeles area and it was great for travel. It's not the best moisturizer I've ever used, but I would gladly use it. I don't know that I would repurchase it. It's not amazing, it doesn't blow my mind, it's not like wow this is really dramatically making a difference in the appearance of my skin. But it is good. It's just kind of middle of the road, nothing extreme about it. Not bad, not amazing, but right there where you need it to be, does what it's supposed to do. It's pretty affordable too."

"I liked it, it's good, it has great ingredients. It's not my favorite moisturizer, it's not my Holy Grail, but it really gets the job done."

"I really like the Minimalist Oat Moisturizer for oily skin which has Ceramides, you have Cica and Ceramide"
Yay
"A moisturizer in the morning is a must, especially if you have sensitive skin, even if you feel your skin is a little oily. Moisturizer helps in repairing your skin barrier and also helps in soothing the skin."
