What the gurus are saying

Experts praise this cleanser for its mild, anti-inflammatory oat amino acid surfactant, making it especially suited to those with damaged barriers, rosacea, or sensitive and dry skin. The catch: it's too gentle to lift makeup or heavy sunscreen layers, so it works best as a first cleanse or for people who don't wear much makeup. Those with irritated skin tend to appreciate how it rinses clean without that stripped feeling and leaves the skin barrier calmed.

"It's used sodium laurel oat amino acids as the surfactant, an anti-inflammatory surfactant, which I really like, and it's very mild. I'd say this is really good for dry skin, but this is not going to remove your makeup. The surfactants are too gentle. It's probably not going to remove layers of sunscreen either. So this is really more if you have a damaged skin barrier, sensitive skin, rosacea, then you would pick up this cleanser."

"I do like oat cleansers in general for people with sensitive skin, dry skin, irritated skin. This one aesthetically really was good. It does have a different feel than the rest of the cleanser lineup. It's not as much of a foam, it is just kind of a rich lather that sits on your skin, but it does not feel like you're just rubbing lotion on your skin. It still feels like cleanser. It leaves you feeling hydrated and soothes your skin barrier. So somebody who has sensitive skin, somebody who has drier skin, this is the one that I would choose from the Minimalist."

"This one's got oat and glycerin, you apply it on wet skin and massage and rinse off thoroughly. It doesn't really have a lot of anything, it's a very short ingredient list, so super affordable. I'm excited to play with this one. It comes in a pump bottle, which is even better. I don't see any foaming ingredients."
