"I've been trying their minimalist stick as a makeup coverage and it's great for just touching up blemishes and touching up imperfections, but I don't actually consider this a complexion product despite the fact that the name says it is a complexion product. I use it more of a concealer as opposed to a complexion product. Maybe if I had like a blemish, I would use this a little bit. Or if I just wanted just like the barest of their no makeup days. I honestly still can't decide if I like ceramic or bone better for my eye area. The cooler tone is a little bit better for my eye area, the ceramic, because it brightens up my eye. I did try the color linen, but it was way too yellow."

"The stick foundation of the year for this year is the Merit Foundation stick. This is fantastic. I love this. It's just so easy to use. I use this a lot over the summer like if I was traveling and taking my travel brush set I could just take this throw it in here with like a mascara and a couple other things zip it up and be good to go. The finish on this is going to be more similar to a soft glam, it gives this soft satin finish and I love that about it. I had a bridal shower to go to when I was leaving Cape Cod after a couple of days on the beach and this is what I had packed and I used this for my foundation for the shower and when I look at the pictures I'm like you can't tell that I'm wearing a stick foundation. I don't know, for me I think of stick foundations as you use it in a pinch or you use it when you're traveling, it's not like your main foundation, but this is so pretty it could be your main foundation especially if you like the ease of a stick. You basically just scribble it around your face."

"It definitely skips over the pores when you just rub the stick around your face so that doesn't look pretty right now but hopefully in the blending it will all look nice. It definitely blends out really nicely and went into my pores instead of skipping over them like it did initially. The shade matches really good, it's blended really nicely, it's covering everything I want to cover. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy. It does definitely have a more of a luminous finish than I would like so I am definitely going to have to powder it. But overall I think it looks nice and if you have drier skin and like a more dewy look then you could probably just leave it like this. It does feel slightly tacky on the surface of my skin but I'm hoping that in a few minutes it'll dry back and we'll get a little bit less of a feel to it."

"Merit stick Foundation is such a great stick. I went on a trip to the Cape to visit a friend of mine it was a very casual trip so I was just like popping in casual makeup but then at the end of the trip I was stopping to go to a bridal shower and you know that was dress up but I didn't bring any extra makeup with me so this is what I had to wear to that. I put this on blended it in, you know put on the rest of my makeup it looked great all day long. This really wears. The thing that I like best about it is you're supposed to be able to use this also as your concealer so I did and it worked great as concealer like it didn't settle in my lines and wrinkles and it lasted just as well and better than 90% of the concealers that I've tried that wear off after 4 hours that settle in your wrinkles. This was great also as concealer. If you are really a makeup minimalist give this a try it's really really good. It's not greasy it's not heavy but it's not drying feeling either. I just loved it."

"I look at it more as like a foundation stick personally. If you're using a stick or a cream like a heavy cream concealer in the eyes it's just gonna look really heavy on your eyes. It's a heavier product, it's like a thicker inconsistency, and you're just not going to benefit as much as you would using a liquid concealer that has a chance to dry down. They're easier to manipulate and to really blend out into a perfect finish. When you think about how much movement we have under our eyes and how much expression we have throughout the day, our eyes are always moving constantly. So unless you're really setting that concealer into place, which is going to require probably a lot more powder than you'd want, I would always opt for a liquid concealer for under the eyes. It just looks better, looks more skin like, looks more fresh, you're gonna have less of a chance of it creasing if you properly set it."
