What the gurus are saying

This concealer earns consistent praise for its buttery texture and effortless blending, melting into skin without requiring heavy hand work or sitting on texture. The catch worth knowing: it offers light to medium coverage rather than full density, so anyone hoping to completely mask significant discoloration may want to layer it or pair it with a heavier option. Those drawn to a natural, skin-like finish who value longevity over maximum opacity find it worth the price, though the shade range can require careful matching first.

"I have been using the same concealer now for I want to say 3 years. And I keep thinking to myself, maybe I should try something else because honestly, it is on the expensive side for what I prefer to spend. But it lasts a long time. It works. So, I'm okay with spending the money. I just use this under my eyes, but you could use it elsewhere as a concealer. It's a nice creamy formula. It doesn't cause any creasing for me, and it lasts all day. Merit formulas, they're not super high coverage. So, if you have something that you are really, really trying to mask to completely make invisible to the naked eye, this is not going to cut it. It's buildable, but it's still not going to give really dense, thick coverage. So, just keep that in mind. But for me, it just brightens up the under eye area just enough. It doesn't get creasy, greasy, flaky. So, that's what works for me. I have repurchased this so many times."

"I have them in two shades bisque and crew. I love these. These are cream kind of concealers they're great. I like to use these under the eye then I put a couple of dots on my cheek and I just sort of rub them all together. I'm currently using the light glow shade and I actually need to reorder this, it's almost done. I've used the medium too. I can't say enough good things about the Merit Minimalist. These are basically a Holy Grail. They're a cream concealer. They're pricey but they last a long time, they really do. I've had these sticks since I want to say December of last year and I use them every single day."

"I'm using Merit concealer, the lightest shade. I have all of my base products on except for coverage and I've been using this as my spot conceal and I love it. My shade is 10. It took me several tries to get my correct shade, but I love it."

"The reason I love this concealer is it's very buttery on the skin. The way it melts into the skin, it's really, really easy to blend, really easy to use. You don't have to spend loads and loads of time blending it. It just melts into any formula as well. I use many foundations under this. I've used powders. The way it just effortlessly melts into the skin is absolute perfection."

"The minimalist is a concealer and this is one of my absolute favorite concealers to wear every single day. It doesn't sit on texture, it blends incredibly well just with a finger. If you want a concealer that looks like skin, this is the one to go for."

"I'm also going to use some of my Merit concealer because I fucking love this stuff. My concealer is going on really, really nicely. Part of me thought that makeup might have trouble sitting on top. It might be a bit grainy, but it's not at all. It looks really, really smooth. Really, really, really smooth."
