"If I'm going to wear a minimalist makeup and they're going to have an eyeshadow in a cream pot, I want to put it on and I want it to stay put and last all day, and unfortunately the wear on this was just so terrible. It had moved and settled into my eye crease within a couple of hours of putting it on and it really didn't last throughout the day. I loved the color of this though, it is beautiful, but I think with this you do need to lay down a primer first, which I don't think you should have to do since it is minimalist makeup."

I had this gray shade called Nelson which I did end up picking up and then the other one was a green but I kind of pivoted last minute. Here's Nelson that's like a really pretty smokey gray color. I wanted the green initially but then as I was checking out I saw the blue and I don't know what came over me but I got the blue instead of the green. It's like a pretty deep navy. Look how pretty that is."

"I have been so in love with these Merit cream shadows, they're so beautiful. I bought two and I will be looking at more shades. Social is such a beautiful purple tone. For me, when I don't have eyeshadow on I have natural purple veins on my eyelids, so this color actually looks really natural on me and it's not usually something that I would reach for, but it's really flattering, much more flattering than I even anticipated because it's got that kind of purple mauve undertone that's naturally existing in my eyelids already. So I find this very very flattering on myself, just a really gorgeous cool tone color. I also picked up the shade studio and it's stunning as well. You can use these by themselves but I've also used them many times as an eyeshadow base, which is what I did today. I used it all over as my eyeshadow base and it just kind of covers up any discoloration, preps the eyes for eyeshadow. It doesn't crease or anything like that, which I love. It sets, it's very long-wearing. So it works great as an eyeshadow base in my opinion as well."
