"The fourth product I do not want you to buy is a fancy scar cream, Mederma, or vitamin E, or anything super fancy. I think we have a theme here: allergic contact dermatitis. You are more likely to get an allergic reaction to this cream than any benefit you hope to be getting to fade your scar. Ditch the Mederma, ditch the fancy scar cream."

"I like silicone gel or silicone sheets more than vitamin E or onion extract with Mederma. Those have very mixed results to not impressive results."

"It has sodium hyaluronate, the salt of hyaluronic acid, that's very hydrating. It does have fragrance though, which again can be irritating and ultimately aggravate scars, so not like the best option. You'd be much better off with just plain medical grade silicone."
