What the gurus are saying

This sunscreen blends smoothly onto skin and earns consistent praise for its elegant formula and minimal white cast, making it a strong pick for those with oily or sensitive skin. The trade-off is patience: it takes time to dry down and can feel wet initially, though dermatologists note this doesn't cause stinging around the eyes the way other sunscreens do. It's pricier than many alternatives, and those with deeper skin tones may still see some visible cast despite claims of a matte finish.

"This is one that's newer to the drugstore but one I've loved for years and years. It will leave a white cast for some skin types, but it's a very good formula if you have dry or very sensitive skin, and the cast isn't bad. I love wearing this, it's one of my favorite mineral sunscreen brands, but a lot of people complain that they don't like the feel [...] because it takes some time to dry down and leaves your skin feeling wet for a bit, so you have to be patient with it."

"I really just have to give so much praise to MDSolarSciences because they really know how to formulate a sunscreen. I think their formula is really elegant, it goes onto the skin very nicely. It features zinc and titanium dioxide, and also ingredients like vitamin C and green tea. [...] The way it feels and blends out onto the skin works so well if you have oily skin, and it has such a minimal white cast that I'd give it a white cast rating of one."
