What the gurus are saying

The gurus who tried it praise the serum for its strong antioxidant lineup, particularly idebenone alongside fruit extracts like blackberry and blueberry, which work together to shield skin from pollution and UV stress that can weaken the moisture barrier and collagen over time. One expert notes the texture is light and the price is accessible, though those heading into colder months or needing heavier hydration may want to layer it with a richer moisturizer or reach for something more emollient instead.

"Mary and May Idebenone Blackberry Complex Serum has idebenone, which is a very potent antioxidant ingredient that is really fantastic to help protect your skin from environmental stressors, pollution, and UV damage. Antioxidants can be a really helpful supportive ingredient for just healthy skin in general, and for a well-aging journey definitely antioxidants have their place. They're a great supportive ingredient for anybody's skincare routine just because they're so protective for the skin. That protection from the sun is one extra layer of something that's not damaging our skin or prematurely aging it, and same goes for pollution in our environment. Those can really stress out and test our skin, weaken our moisture barrier over time, and weaken the collagen structure over time. These are all things that build up over time and contribute to the look of the skin."

"Mary and May Idebenone Blackberry Complex Serum, and this one I really like because I wanted to use something with more antioxidants. This has more antioxidants. Idebenone is a super strong antioxidant, blackberry and some of those fruit extracts, especially some of the berries like blueberry and things like that are great for your skin. And this one's also pretty affordable, super light texture, and I really enjoy this one. The reason I changed from this one is I wanted something a little bit more hydrating. I think it was moving into winter and this one wasn't getting me enough hydration, especially for the daytime, so I moved to something a little bit more moisturizing."
